1. How much per day for room ?
2. what were check-in and out timings ?
3. Condition of room ?

1) Well i had booked a standard room (the cheapest).. so it was for 1100 room + 130 tax = Rs 1230. Also had booked it 2 months in advance.
2) Checked in at 11.30am and checked out next day at 11am. Usual check in is at 10am and checkout at 9am.
3) Condition of the room was strictly ok, the best part being that our room was lake facing. The worst part, the fan wasnt working and i was even asked if i needed a fan . And voila, they arranged for a standing fan. Definately worth remembering.
4) We had food at the MTDC restaurant itself, the food being not so good and way expensive. There are other options nearby, but the roads are in a very bad state. Also, there is hardly any lighting at night.

I am planning Ashtavinayak Tour on 21st/22nd of this month any hotels at morgaon for night halt, please let me know.
Or anyone has Itinerary for this Tour please share .
Plan is to start Early by 5 on 21st from Panvel

my preferred route is:
day 1:
theoor - chintamani [via hadapsar > dhanori > wagholi > theoor ]
morgaon - moreshwar [theur > oorali kanchan > jejuri road > morgaon]
siddhatek - siddhivinayak [morgaon > supe > khedgaon > patas > daund > siddhatek]
ranjangaon - mahaganapati [siddhatek > shedgaon > pedgaon > ajanuj > kashti > nhavare > karde > karegaon > ranjangaon]
ozar - wighneshwar [ranjangaon > malthan > manchar > narayangaon > ozar]

day 2:
lenyadri - girijatmaj vinayak [ozar > sinnar > sangamner > sinnar > junnar > lenyadri]
mahad - varadvinayak [lenyandri > malshej > karjat > chowk > khalapur > mahad]
pali - ballaleshwar [mahad > pen > pali]
pali - home [mumbai / pune as desired]

roundtrip works out to be around 710+/- kms.

most roads being a part of state highways [& not national highways] are in diaplated state & hence ur average speed will be arouns 45~50kmph.

have done this on bike about 4 yrs ago & hence there is a good probability that roads today might be far better [or worst - thanks to the just passed monsoons] than what they were back then.

dont know abt the hotels tho as i usually put up @ prabhat lodge [swasta ani masta] for a sleepover when in pune. hope this helps!

Was on the WEH and saw a activa been ridden by a gal. Believe me, the way she was driving it, i felt as if she is driving a Honda Hornet. Going thru between the traffic, zooming 60+ most of the time, calm all the way thru and no panicking at all. The best part was, she never honked even once. Phew!! Hats Off!!

If you are starting from Panvel then its better to do the Mahad Ganapati first which is roughly around 40km from Panvel, then the Pali Ganapati which is again around 45kms from Mahad. from Pali you can directly go to Lenyadri via Talegaon-Chakan route which is around 160km. You can stay there completing around 250km on first day. It would be fairly easy if you start early as most of the route here is highway. More over if you can extend, Ozar is less than 20Km from Lenyadri. Next day you can complete the rest of the places around pune.

@kfz16 : a slight correction.
rain is on a pause mode... ganeshotsav > pitru paksha of 15 days > navratra & vijaya-dashmi [dussera] is the flow
rains are termed officially over, only AFTER vijaya-dashmi
you may expect some heavy rainfall during the evenings between 1st oct thru 13th october [no, i dont work w/ the M.E.T. - this is pure simple mathematics & almanac reading - taught to us by fathers & forefathers when guys my age were kids]

I agree with you sir, Theoretically 200 percent correct, but this year rains hit MH at least 15 days earlier than the last year, and after 30 years Mahabi got this much of rains. and when we visit there we dint face a single drop of rain and found amazingly clear blue sky. even last week i crossed lonavala twice in the evening during mum-pune ,pune-mum , i dint face single drop, so i expect it rain is over... and what i hear from people in mumbai that the season will over by dussera in Mumbai.

HELLOOOO ... MUMBAI

This time wandering from bangalore, reached mumbai wednesday night. And the plan now is to ride to goa via route 66 through mahad chiplun etc.

Need some help here guys.

I am new to maharashtra and me and a friend from pune will start on saturday morning from pune. We have till sunday afternoon to reach goa. So i am looking forward to some interesting detours. Any suggestions?

Btw bangalore to mumbai was amazing. Will highly recommend this right after monsoon that is in september. Never seen so much greenery in life. Loved old pune mum highway, especially the khandala lonavala section. Want to have a taste of maharashtra.
