Dude!
Our parents generation were different!
We should tell them who are we and we really do and make them understand!

I know my parents, friend, and I understand that their generation is different. However, suffice it to say that my parents will not understand no matter how hard you/me/anyone tries. I have already tried to make my dad understand multiple times, but he just won't listen. Also, he's convinced that all the 'grown up, having-a-job' males on the ride will teach me bad habits (you know the kind I'm talking about). He has bought me all the gears(quite happily, in fact), but won't let me ride farther than his office in Andheri even

Anyways, that's enough rant from me. I'll just come after 3 years, meanwhile I can study

Shall i tell u something
We students are inspired by bikers and tourers who are first well settled and earning !
But we are very enthusiastic persons find difficult to chase our passion, dreams and wat we like so we go through too many contradictions like lack of elders support, financial backgrounds and our studies, balancing everything is too difficult..hence its is good to do after u earn nd have currencies in ur hand then u can live happily doing wat u like

meets, rides will be happening every week, month and g2g will happen each year! If we miss one then we can attend next year! Dont bother abt it!

I for one, am 33 years young, have a decent job, a wife and a 5 year old son. Did my engineering and MBA. I cannot fathom somebody saying that people with job will teach bad habits to students so should not be in their company, i think it will have rather have a positive impact that you fulfill your responsibilities, study well, get a decent job and still do what you love i.e. ride and ride safe. I don't mind speaking to your parents warfareonly to make them understand.

Thank you both, but like I said, convincing my dad will be an exercise in futility. I even suggested that he come with me, but he's not listening. Besides, if I even got you to try and talk to him, it'll turn out worse than it is currently. So, like I said earlier, I'll just join for rides 3 years later.

Your choice mate, I understand that you know your Dad best and respect your decision. I hope that you are clear about the facts more than your dad as only then you will have conviction to convince your dad. Group of bikers are often mistaken for a gang and illogical association will illegal things, which has to be clarified in clear terms.

Sorry but as I've just loged-In. I have to reply now :P

I after all your replies. I feel that you are talking about me and my dad and my family situation.

I had all these same problems. Like where are you going, by when you'll be back, why you're late and what not.
But that was for max to 5-6 months after I got bike. Try to handle the situation for now, win their confidence and you'll be free from all these soon.

I remember when my daddy use to check my Bikes Meter Reading before & after my college. Hahaha.
Then later, I was the one to score 33k reading in 11 months, and another 25k in next 18 months. U.P., Rajasthan, haryana, Chandigarh, Uttrakhand, Nepal and what not.
And now in Mumbai from 20 months.

Don't force your daddy for this trip now.
Be with his decision. And ask him for next trip again. Some nearby trip after a month or two. If he say NO, keep calm again. Let him think that you are doing what he likes and then you can do what you like.
This is what I feel should work but yes never worked for me. Because I wasn't a good child, I never was. I did so many bad, foolish, assholeness that one should not even think of

As per you asked me for college. I'm not in college but yes I look like those college kids. So I can help if you want my help next time.

I understand what your daddy think about other job peoples. My daddy also use to think the same. Its not that office guys will teach you bad habit. Parents get the weird thinking that from where the hell our college kid got these big guys as "friends". Try not to mention more about them. :P
And try not to mention about people like me. Those are not studying neither in job. Completely "Vella" / Free.

Feels good to read that you are satisfied with your Fathers Decision.
See you maybe in some trip
