Hey guy's, I'll be heading to mahabaleshwar tomorrow. Need to know which route is better. Is it better from the pune side or from the mumbai-goa highway? I'll be traveling with a pillion so I'm looking for the quickest route and roads in good condition. Anybody with any experience on these routes please help me out.

Best route would be Pune side... Smooth roads ..

As I knw you can Take a Katraj satara route... After Shirwal there is pargaon khandala after tht you will find Wai route. On road you can see route holding to head Mahabaleshwar.

Thanks for the quick reply man. I guess I'll take the pune route. I was thinking of taking the Goa highway route since google maps was showing that it was shorter but I guess I'll stick to the pune one.

Did find a nice secluded beach to take the bike and do some photo shoots. Its somewhere near Dana Pani beach, ahead of Aksa Beach, opposite to a church. The road to the beach is a narrow road and you may miss the turn if not careful.

It is always better to have one if you plan on going for longer rides so do buy one as early as possible. Also wear a jacket, rudged one preferably, need not be a riding jacket and all your other gears. If you have elbow guard then jacket is optional
