We will ride starting from Navsari, Guj at 6:00 AM.

Meeting Times:- Saturday 28th Sept 2013; 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Location:- Hotel Ahura, NH 8, 12 kms from Charoti Naka

Distance- Approx 200-220Km ( To and Fro).

Many bikers will be coming to there from Navsari, Surat, Mumbai. It will be great fun.

AFAIK, this photograph is from Mumbai-Pune Kas Plateau ride from couple of years back. There were 50+ bikers on that ride.

When r u planning to be back? Am doing breakfast @ amby valley n back home @ thane latest by 10.30 am. Am not riding all the way till kaas though if u r leaving early I will be with u till lonavala one way. Lemme know if u would like to tag along.

ADDENDUM: Enroute the breakfast solo ride to Amby Valley this morning, i took a less traveled route from Palm Beach road that leads directly to Palaspe Phata [the roundabout junction that is common for Mumbai > pune & Mumbai > Goa routes]

This route might be already known to many of you but for those who dont, here's map posted below:



Navpoint & Directions:

1. start on palm beach road [under the vashi - old mumbai pune highway underpass] & ride in the direction towards panvel

2. keep an eye out for the delhi public school & delhi public school horse riding club [this will be on ur right hand side] & the palm beach road sewage treatment plant [this will be on ur left hand side]

3. after you pass these take a *right turn* @ the next immediate junction [the intersection of palm beach road & uran road - usually most riders go further ahead from this junction & then take a left exit towards cbd belapur / konkan bhuvan]

4. once on this road, simply ride straight down till you reach the *nhava gavhan phata*

5. take a left turn @ the nhava gavhan phata & continue the ride till the road takes a sharp-incline & merges to the left turn with the bigger jnpt road

6. once on jnpt road, simply ride straight down till you reach palaspe phata

- the entire stretch of road starting from palm beach road till palaspe phata is approx 27kms

- this route is called by locals as the palm beach > ulwe > owle > jnpt > palaspe road.

- the entire road is cement concrete construction & u can clock descent speeds on it [i was, for most of the patch doing 100+]

- the route has lots of containers / trucks parked on either side of the road – so pls be careful of jay-walking cleaners / drivers

- traffic on this road during early morning hours is near non-existent & it takes out the pain of navigating yourself via the kharghar, kalamboli, new panvel, panvel traffic
