DAY 2

KUDAL - GOKARNA - MURUDESHWARA - UDUPI - SURATHKAL(NIGHT HALT 2) (ALL ON NH17)

DAY 3

SURATHKAL(NH17) - DHARAMSTHALA(SH) - CHICK MANGLUR(SH) - BACK TO MUMBAI (NH17)


Will accordingly adjust...yadi time kum padata he toh

...Inder Paaji...i manage to take out 1-2 hours extra for this.And free high speed internet..you can get it in office only.

On weekends i had nothing much to do...except sleeping and boozing ..or Doing Tp's with friends.

So the best way i can spend a weekend is by roaming..

If you are travelling to Udupi, do try and visit the "Malpe beach & St. Mary's Island".. Awesome place..

Some detail plan

In Gokarna..will be covering MAHABALISWARA TEMPLE, GANAPATHI TEMPLE , KUDLE BEACH , OM BEACH, HALF MOON BEACH AND PARADISE BEACH..
Proceed to Murudeshwar - 90 kms from Gokarna (2 hours) visit Shiva Temple at Murudeshwar and the Murudeshwar Beach and other sightseeing points around Murudeshwar listed below (Mookambika Temple is recommended).
Proceed to Udupi (Approx 90 kms - 1 hour) serene Malpe Beach. Temples of Udupi
Take a Day excursion to visit Sringeri Mutt, Annapoorna Temple at Horanadu.
Leave for Mangalore (60 kms) via Karkala, Moodbidri and settle at a Beach Resort near Mangalore.
Leave early to visit Dharmasthala Temple and Subhramanya temple

Make good use of the Camera at the Suratkal beach... I have some fond memories there!
Its very easy to miss the beach, so remember to ask someone when you see Manipal university on the right...!

The detailed plan looks more like a religious tour..

Please share some memories ....!!!

When you reach the Suratkal beach, stand near the mandap next to the lighthouse,
- On the extreme left you will see the massive lighthouse
- On the left you will see a nice rockstrip where you can\could practise rock climbing
- A lil bit to the right you will see a rockstrip which appears like a giant statue sleeping on the water bed
- Straight ahead the fantastic beach
- A lil bit to the right, you will see the entry to the beach, a downslope you will see some crows gliding against the strong wind too if you are lucky!
- Extreme to the right you will see 5 small homes, One of which is my aunts.. although they dont live there anymore!

I used to go to my native place just to stay there :P
and then when I would go bored, a few KMs ahead was my other aunts home on top of a hill, and then my uncles\moms home in the valley

Good plan,but the roads between udipi and murudeshwar is a mess,with potholes here and there,u guys will have to slalom.Better be careful.
