      • Superb g2g, 55 Bikers, 51 Bikes, 8 SBKs... so far the biggest!

Met Ram & Goldie, both very humble n down to earth people

BEST PART: Tagging along a MOTHERSHIP (read:Busa) & A few TORPEDOES (CBRs)...

        WORST PART:
Many unknown ppl turned up, Gearless

Even some new xbhpians turned up gearless, but coz of half the people with no gears I couldnt argue with them.

But from next time onwards, I request to fellow senior xbhpians to make this GEAR RULE very strict & should be followed at any cost.

Also I dint liked some smart a** Senior guys coming in a TEE & putting a bad example & other senior guys taking it very lightly.
And now i am in NO MOOD to make look myself like an idiot enforcing rules just to show off!

Also, some very rash riders were between us. Riders who never ever had been to any ghats. I guess someone of them crashed while returning in Amby only.

There was NO FORMATION at all.

@MODS: Please come out of the hibernation & TALK.

        • you cant expect the 1st timers to ride in formations if they aren't briefed before the ride...but turning up gear-less was pretty irresponsible.

and coordinating 55 bikers is a big deal. hats off to the seniors.

          @Spidey
didn't you click any pics? Post them dude.

I hope the one who crashed is alright.

But I can expect SENIOR guys to help me out or directly take responsibilty for it, right! If NO then there will be no rules from now onwards.

            • Also I did a back-to-back comparo of P220 Dtsi's & a karizma on ghats & noticed:

              1) P220's 2nd gear = ZMA's 3rd gear.
that means the P220s were not pulling on 2nd gear at all. And ZMA usually climbs on 2nd gear

              2) ZMA felt much much smoother than P220s.

              3) you cant corner with a pillion on P220s, the main stand touches down at the slightest lean

              4) ZMA handles better than P220s on corners.

              5) Dint like the braking.

Completely disagree, yesterday i have been to malshej and have taken most corners on my 5th gear and only a rare few in my 4th, but all were over 80 kmph(Not Counting the really sharp ones where i went to 3rd)

                2) ZMA felt much much smoother than P220s.

Yes that is completely true, even with my Iridium Plugs and full synthetic oil a stock Zma is alot more smoother.

                3) you cant corner with a pillion on P220s, the main stand touches down at the slightest lean

Again true and that is why i have removed the stand, a friend is trying something new with the stand and if it works then this problem will be solved, but this problem wasnt with the slightest lean, thats a little exaggeration.

                4) ZMA handles better than P220s on corners.

Again i wouldn't agree, while on my way i came across a group of Zma bikers and all were, hmmmm, skilled but roudy, and wanted to race, i wasnt interested but coincidently my corner speeds and overall speeds were more than them, I had gone with my girlfriend and i have touched the back of my shoe 3 times leaning in to corners, while the distance between me and the group with riders wearing traditional Indian Gear(T shirt, jeans, slippers/sandals, no helmet and other gears) kept on increasing.

                5) Dint like the braking.

Because of a few extremely stupid or egoistic DRIVERS i have had to break from 100 kmph to 20 kmph and i have done it quite well, the bike stil had some juice left in her, i could have broken harder but it wasnt required, and mind you this is with a fake or 'Nallah' MRF Zapper front tyre and not with my Demons.

                • My answers in BOLD.

@ALL: I'v lately seen that most of the riders owning P220 Dtsi, love to jump on someone's personal comments about the bike & argue. I dont see any logic in that.
DISCLAIMER: Not meant to harm any sentiments & neither am i directly or indirectly pointing at anyone.

Here Am talking about extremely tight corners with rise in road altitude, the likes of which are many at Amby. You cant do those in 4th or 5th gear (you'll be tasting dust if you try), you'll have to come down to 2nd atleast AND here 220 lacks a burst of power pull. Again, this is my personal experience.

                  3) you cant corner with a pillion on P220s, the main stand touches down at the slightest lean

not exaggeration, Am comparing it here With the kind of leans I do to get my ZMA's stand or foot peg scrape. Not of P220, where i can personally scrape the stand at any given corner, easily. NOW dont start a war here.

                  4) ZMA handles better than P220s on corners.

Am not talking about roudy people here dude, am talking about me & my personal opinion regarding the test/comparo i did today. So why waste time on explaining a chapter about some crap race.

                  5) Dint like the braking.

P220s braking on a straight line might be superior to the ZMA, but at high speeds on corners, its a set back.

                  • I will be going to amby this sunday or saturday, i will then really know, but i wasnt trying to say that you are roudy or anything, but i did mention that they were skilled.
I havnt tried those corners so cant comment, but i did have to break on corners, it wasnt bad, i can not completely disagree untill i go to amby valley and experience it myself.

And i jumped here as i have found that you always go on to say that your Zma is better than a P220 in almost all ways, that really ticks me off, im sorry that i just bluntly said it, i really am.

Also what could be is that, you arent use to the 220, and i am, that could just be it. I can handle MY BIKE way better than i would be able to handle YOURS.

Now you are just making me LAUGH OUT LOUD, as it wasnt my ZMA I tested yesterday at Amby, so CHEERS to that.

For your second pointer, I can only say MAY BE, hope you get it...

And last but not the least, you bought a bike & its not perfect thats OK, happens. You spent money on your bike so you just want to believe that its the Best, Perfect & Fastest, thats also OK

I have always agreed that mine or anyone's ZMA is now out-dated
It is slower than your P220Dtsi or whatever version, I agree totally.
So what, still Pulsar's braking & handling needs to go lengths so that it can be compared to ZMAs, R15s or whatever bike's braking/handling abilities (specially on corners), its just not that good & fast enough accept it.
OR maybe you'd like to refer to Magazine comparos where it had been proved many times that ZMA is still faster on corners, if not in straight line
                      PEACE

P.S: I guess I get to be sarcastic as you get to be blunt...

And just for your info, am a big fan of P220 Dtsi version becasue of the sheer speed it offers, but again its not the perfect machine available in market.
