Superb g2g, 55 Bikers, 51 Bikes, 8 SBKs... so far the biggest!

Met Ram & Goldie, both very humble n down to earth people

BEST PART: Tagging along a MOTHERSHIP (read:Busa) & A few TORPEDOES (CBRs)...

WORST PART:
Many unknown ppl turned up, Gearless

Even some new xbhpians turned up gearless, but coz of half the people with no gears I couldnt argue with them.

But from next time onwards, I request to fellow senior xbhpians to make this GEAR RULE very strict & should be followed at any cost.

Also I dint liked some smart a** Senior guys coming in a TEE & putting a bad example & other senior guys taking it very lightly.
And now i am in NO MOOD to make look myself like an idiot enforcing rules just to show off!

Also, some very rash riders were between us. Riders who never ever had been to any ghats. I guess someone of them crashed while returning in Amby only.

There was NO FORMATION at all.

@MODS: Please come out of the hibernation & TALK.

My friend i was 1 of them without gear...I m very sorry for this. But this ride was new 2 me i had no idea of the gears....i will try to buy these n join u again for sum g2g's. Can u plz give me sum approx quotation for these gears..Jacket, knee guard, elbow guard.

Hey Winsey, Spidy, Dinesh, Motor and fellow Mumbai xbhpians. It was great catching up with you again. Sorry I had to rush back early due to personal reasons but it was an awesome ride nonetheless. Let's plan the next one soon. A quick dash to Malshej maybe

I had just been to malshej on saturday, the roads were in great conditions, just built, without potholes, the climate was favourable, hot enough for the road to provided great grip but still had cool breezes and later cool gushes of wind.
In all the journey was amazing fun, but the place was a bore, nothing to do, no where to go, i just went towards otur, saw a lake besides, went to the bank, clicked pics and returned home.

wasn't exactly in a good condition to wake up & hence gave this g2g a miss.

@spidy:at a ride like this (less distance more people) ,it will be really difficult to enforce the gear thing.
we making it mandatory is ok in limited crowd & also for people who keep on coming regularly for rides.
it will still take time for people to come around but let the rules be in place.
& yess -- helmets being compulsory the basic safety is being taken care of.
see the mega delhi g2g on the same date & you will see all of them with helmets but very few with all gears.

Had a wonderful G2G.. it was incredible..!
It was a perfect start of the day on my Birthday.! After quiet sometime had a nice ride. Even got a chance to test my Michellins after installing them on my bike. On the corners they where incredible, just wont leave the tarmac.!
It was nice meeting all the xBHPians from Mumbai & Pune..!
the sbk's gang was cool as well. Specially Ram, extremely cool man..!

I continued my journey further alone as couldnt wait.. Had further plans on my birthday While I was riding alone, just before panvel. I felt a hand on my shoulder & it was Gopi & Winzee on the other side. Was scared for a second
I also second on Spidys point on gearless riders & more importantly the cluttered riding part. But hope next time it would be much better.

While reading the comparos of 220 & ZMA. Please dont test your bike on corners or fast speed when you have a pillion. A big NO when you have a pillion as gal, cornering fast & that too trying to beat the a55oles. Your bike may be the best, you must be superb on corners but realize the value of your pillion & treat it as a responsibility.

I think all were...
But then as someone pointed out...we have to be a little lax for Mega g2gs as the newcomers hardly have the time or the info to go buy the gear and make a mad dash to our g2g the next day !

Cheers I enjoyed myself..I hate leaving early but these fcukin pune guys are famous for that.
Next time I am gonna ride to a g2g with the mumbai gang.

MALSHEJ - Is only good in rains, else its a very dry n hot place.

DK, firstly we are not Delhi man.
I agree that newbies have no idea about gears n their importance, but they are the ones who crash, mostly in their first ride itself.
Its difficult but we can try, right?
