Yes, Lonar lake is a good option for a 3 day trip. Include Ajintha Verul Caves as two more destinations in that trip. Have done this long time back.

Dandeli is famous for river rafting, its got one of the best rapids in the country leaving rishikesh.
there is a croc farm as well that can be visited.
Good place to go for an adenture trip.

initially in my n95 even after removing my sim card, it used to fetch satellites properly but after sometime it needed gprs to locate me!

tired of it now!



its google maps which does not work properly without gprs.. for nokia phones there is an application called nokia maps updater.. download that, choose the map you need and update it.. it had worked me for the past two years.. but connecting to satellite sucks in ovi maps though!



nokia maps are good but you can also try satguide maps for mobile phones! not sure how it works on mobile though, but i have a GPS unit which is loaded with satgiude.. i find it good for city and yet to test it outside! It costs 999/- now with some offer! worth checking out

Well, nokia maps are crap, sometime back they recorded Razor's speed at 200 kmph somthing on his RTR

Download Google maps, easy to use & much more friendly. It is used by Me, Cos, Razor, Rachit, Alankar & many other. You can add us on G-latitude so we can follow your journey

G-maps up & running on my phone Spidy bhai.. Any idea where can i get consolidated Gmail addresses of our mumbai xbhpians so that i can add them on my G-Lat?? I got it working with Rachit bhai & Ketan already.. So thanks for the suggestion

Its off-season dude..Dont go.You wont be able to see any-many animals.Though the Jungle safari thing is open but,most of the roads inside the Jungle is closed due to rain.So no point in taking Safari
For night staying option..They have nature camps.Nature camps nearby dandeli are not so close to nature .

There is one Kulgi Nature camp bit ahead of Dandeli.Its govt one.Stay there.Its a nice place.

I have a garmin nuvi 500 (https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=13424), which is motorcycle friendly! I got it for $240! I guess mapmyindia is selling some garmin units in India.. google it for the dealers in India
