Met up with the Mumbai Xbhp crew at Tiger Point en-route to Amby Valley. Shook hands with some old friends and new friends as well. Chased off an impertinent baboon who mounted my bike and had a BLAST riding the MT in the cool early winter air.

Riding season really is IN!

A LOT of Pulsar 220s in the group...where are the other riders? Need balance in this world!!

Had a night out after a long time last night. Me and a couple of friends had decided to ride to Lonavala/Amby very late night(Reason being to avoid the city traffic and enjoy the peace and tranquility at Lonavala). Twin Blue R15s and a Unicorn were supposed to be our partners for the ride but then Umesh(Unicorn rider) decided to be a pillion. So it was just the 2 R15s.

Left Dadar at around 11.15-11.30pm. There was still a lot of traffic on the road till we reached Panvel McD. Didn't stop there and chose to continue towards Lonavala. Stopped somewhere on NH4 to adjust the headlamp beam as I felt the setting had disturbed somehow. My bike was not in it's best condition and hence I chose to cruise nice and easy where as the other R15 was ripping through the darkness. We came across a drunk(I suppose) ST driver who was driving that bus as if he was driving a Honda City Crazy driver... Had a scary moment in Khandala ghat as there was at least 1 ft deep pothole right at the exit of an hairpin curve Clicked the above pic just before entering the expressway. Sorry for the poor quality, clicked using cell phone camera. Wished I had a good camera. Wanted to click a better pic with HID On..

Faced TERRIBLE TERRIBLE traffic on the expressway right till the Lonavala exit. 90% of the traffic consisted of containers and very heavy vehicles crawling at 10-20 Kmph throwing out clouds of dark toxic smoke..

There's a small tapri/stall on NH4 which serves yummy egg omlets/burji/maggie etc.. Had food till there was no space left for more in the tummy.. My bike had hit reserve and both the fuel pumps in Lonavala were closed down by 2am. So we decided to chuck the Amby plan and headed towards Pune in search of Fuel. Got it somewhere after Kamshet. Didn't head back after refueling instead kept riding towards Pune. Took U-turn at Dehu road junction towards Mumbai.

Saw a group of riders on the way riding towards Mumbai at around 3.30 am. One of the bikes was an RTR. Couldn't recognize the other 2 as we passed them very quickly. Later on saw 2 thumpers on expressway going towards Pune. Cool.. lot of riders riding at that odd time.

Return journey was a non stop ride from Dehu road till Dadar. We hit the palm beach road at 4.30am. We couldn't resist ripping on that beautiful road. Fully crouched, throttle locked.. Managed to clock 143Kmph(Speedo) before I had to slow down due to a junction(6kmph less than my previous best on the R15 on NICE road, Bangalore during the bun burner attempt). Reached Dadar at 5-5.15 am. I already had tough time convincing mom for the night ride before leaving. Got a nice beating after reaching home.. Crashed on the bed immediately...

Feeling good after a nice ride - night out after long.. At the same time feel sad to have missed today's xBhp ride. But can't help it. Had mission house cleaning lined up for today for Diwali..

We were nearby at the time.. Satyen(RTR), Biru and me.
