Firstly I would like to thank all xBhpians (Maestro, Samarth_M, pratheekkunder, NikhilB, Pranit_Crystal_Myth & chicmagnet) who attended this ride and made it a memorable one
... Its always twitchy to ride with newbies moreover when the roads are unknown and no senior member is present ... But the sane riding skills displayed by all made the whole ride uneventful and enjoyable (except for samy's minor crash) !
Pranit deserves a special mention here ... It was his first long ride with xBhpians on his passion which didnt look in good condition .... But I must say he is a very responsible rider judging all his moves before making them ... not even once I saw him overtaking from left or cutting lanes rashly ... the bike's condition did take its toll on his riding experience but he managed it smartly ... All he needs is some more experience and lessons to learn before he masters the art of riding .... One thing I would like to suggest him is never adjust your gears or anything when riding since you suddenly slow down and lose direction which may be fatal to one who follows you !!
It was a pleasurable surprise to see Maestro (tanmay) waiting for us at Belapur Phata early in the morning ... His exams are going on hence he was least expected to be there ... He took the lead position whereas I decided to tail this time due to which I learned lots of new riding skills and was also able to enjoy the scenic beauty of NH17 !!
Nikhil played an excellent buffer between me and pranit patiently riding at low speeds and adjusting himself to pranit's style of riding ... chicmagnet who earlier claimed to be slow also adjusted quickly to the riding speeds of the one whom he was following .... Samarth was way too excited since he was riding after long time and wanted to enjoy every moment of the ride
... Prateek was also steering his P220 gracefully but I guess this is not the road where the true power of his ride could be unleashed
Regarding the route which we took ... chirner was dropped as our leader (tanmay) decided to take us through NH17 only (Thanks to him, I enjoyed riding through karnala bird sanctuary
) .... The road quality was OK ... Then after Vadkhal we took route to Kihim which was a bad road full of potholes and gravel ... After Kihim we took the road to alibag beach which went through the heart of the town ... Again not a great road to ride on with city traffic all over .... Next we went towards Revdanda beach via narrow road full of bumps and houses on both side ... We decided to return via Alibag bypass road which was a small ghat (in middle of which samarth got crashed) connecting to NH17 ... It was also OK types but added variety to our ride !
All in all, the ride was fun and completed in time thanks to the excellent leading skills of Maestro (tanmay) .... All the things to be done (take lots of photographs, return before sunset, etc) were done and those to be avoid (alcohol, rash riding, etc) were avoided
Sharing few of the teaser pics taken during the ride ! .... Rest of them would be shared in the log which is supposed to be written by pranit (hope he has started working on it)
All set to ride, Belapur Phata
Exploring Kihim Beach
Pay n Park at Kihim Beach
Alibag Beach
The beautiful Revdanda Beach
Pranit making full use of his DSLR, Revdanda Beach
Time to leave, Revdanda Beach
My attempt to capture the beauty with my puny digicam, Kihim Beach
Hopefully all of you enjoyed the ride just like me and yeah sorry for being a pushy tail at times but I wanted to make sure we reached Mumbai before sunset
PS: Special thanks to gautam_k for waking up so early on a holiday and meeting us at belapur phata !
Cool Pics and good log.. Cheers..
