I,Ninad Ambre and Tanmay Patil completed 1600kms in 24hours successfully on the NH4,Mumbai-Bangalore-Mumbai Highway on the 17-18feb on a Pulsar135LS(135cc) and Suzuki GS150R (150cc) respectively.That’s a successful saddlesore1600k.
Tanmay is the only person to have thought of this and also making me do this.Yes brother we passed this test successfully. Thanks for the lovely friendship, company and support
First and foremost thank you Ashish and his brother Nikhil for all the help right from accommodation, food etc. to the help with the bike stuff, gears, everything. It was just wonderful to have all that elder brotherly and friendly support.
Thank you Ketan,Nitin and Tushar with all the help for the ride, route, information. It would have been tougher without your help.
Thank you Rustom,Mayur,Sachin,George Uncle and all xbhpians who helped us. The least I can do is thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It would'nt have been possible without your help and support.
Sorry Karan,Sachin and others for not asking you to join us or later even informing about the ride. The decision was kind of impromptu and we just went ahead with it and came back safe and successful.
Sorry if I forgot to mention anyone’s name here. I am as it is not good in writing logs, please forgive me for the same.
All the details of the ride would be provided in a log soon.(probably when I come back to normal
)
Congrats Nin and maestro. its really great to achieve this feat on small bikes. Release your log soon!Last edited by muRali.dexTeR; 02-21-2011, 01:01 AM.

Tanmay & Nin:CONGRATS to both of you for completing the saddlesore successfully!!!!!
Saddlesore requires you to stay on or above 70kmph for the whole time & the P135 certainly feel very much capable of doing it due to its light weight & 4-valve configuration. It's not another 135cc bike.Ofcourse,it depends on the rider's abilities too.
Waiting for the log now..hope you guys are back to normal,no???

back to home from the lonavla ride. reached home at 410pm and slept at 430 got up at 730 and again back to work. But it is really worth it. Man never did off roading like i did today and the way my 220 was jumping on the off road crossing all the hurdles. i couldnt think of sitting on my seat at that time or else i would have got a real bad back pain. This was my first time off roading on to the big stones spreaded road and the speed i was maintaining on my 220 on such roads i dont know from where i was getting the strength and confidence to do so. Really ennjoyed this and also the main part how can i forget, cornering was simply awsome.
I liked the way sunny was cornering on his 220 it was the best body positioning which I think i need to learn more on this. and also Aman did some cornering on his r15 where i couldnt have thought of leaning my bike. It was fast and sharp.
well and also there was a good time we had up in lonavla, chit chatting vidoes of cornering and stuff.
but today morning a sad incident happened one of our bike member crashed when the ride was just to start and he was sent home. Well any one got updates on Abhay Takoo?? How is he and how exactly he fell, and the damages
Also guys who came today can some one post thier names and ID names too

hope your fine ? and its high time you stop ripping the bike and do some sane riding now !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

I am fine, it wasnt a major accident, just minor scratches. It was a HUGE speed bump on which I flew, my breaks did not kick in, was at 60-70 kmph. Aur nin, last time yes I was ripping, but today I wasnt. Wasnt in the mood.Ripping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M

Thats what im saying, now a days I rarely go fast, not interested to go fast. Since I raced officially, road pe fast jaaneka maza nahi aata
Seamus, nothing much, as I said, just a few scratches on the fairing. The break pads needs replacement, will be done tomorrow morning itself.Ripping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M

your brakes seems to be worst than a stock. I think you need to send your brake setup to joel as well for getting the mods done on itOriginally posted by abhayshanu View Postmy breaks did not kick in, was at 60-70 kmph.
to get more powerful braking along with the power of your bike.

YouTube - man on motorbike crash recovery
This is exactly what happened, except I could not get back on. A group of riders riding towards bombay who came to help told me that my main stand was fully erect and that my bike's rear tyre did not touch the ground after it flew a feet in the air. I had to either let the bike go or let the bike crush me. So I chose myself. It was the gears which saved me.
Also I believe whatever happens, happens for a reason. I was needing a long time rest and now I will get it.
Also what you gain from your own experience is far greater than trying to understand from someone else's.
As I said Seamus, I need to replace my brake pads, they are completely worn out. That seems to be the reason for break failure.Ripping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M
