Shoot man! What the hack!
This is very bad. Whose bike was it? Get the replacement handlebar tack-welded at the same point where the bar joins the clamp to avoid similar instances.
This part I do not like about Bajaj.
You get the point?? :D

Guitar bhai...........the other side of the river is always greenOriginally posted by theguitarfreak View PostTake a ride in a TVS apache and a BAJAJ Pulsar and you will change your opinion about the comfort. Guranteed!

TVS RTR180 is far more reliable and tougher than the P220..........I almost bought it if I had not got back my Shogun and saved for a future Superbike. Its a great VFM indeed.
I know you are frustrated with the level of service they provide at the Shah TVS....believe me,people at Shah TVS are laat sahibs and nawabs.
Try out any other major service outlets like P.D.TVS(Baguiati) or Shiva Auto(Suzuki SVC but does HH,TVS,Yamaha and Bajaj too) then you wont feel like complaining.
You like ZMA........which does not puts down power the way RTR180 does.
You like P220........which is more comfortable according to you,but believe me,for a slender figured corner carver like you the RTR180 is still the best,220 is all about straight-line and that too with the handle coming off !!!! this aint funny
You like R15........only you havent cried for its costly parts and high maintenance till now
RTR180 is absolute VFM at the price it retails for.Just love the machine that chose you and quit finding faults with it.....or lamenting what other provides

The best Bajaj I find is not a Bajaj..........its a Kawasaki....the Ninja250r honestly.
Same is the case with my brother's Wind 125 too....the best 125cc from Bajaj was again a Kawasaki.Believe me even the new Pulsar-LS is no match for a well maintained Wind.
Lets be now Peaceful and cool.....
Thanks abcek
for alerting our brothers.....lets be careful on this issue now and lets be less OT.

Man are you questioning one of the best tourers in India?? Even Old fox and Sunny bhai uses the so called a bit less powerful machine. I agree its under powered but it's not meant for the rush. So for me RTR180 and ZMA does not fall in the same catagory. ZMA is all rounder, not max power but enough, not max comfort but enough. Fuel prices --> Whats thatOriginally posted by MACH50 View PostGuitar bhai...........the other side of the river is always green

yes man I also agree with you that zma & apache is two different category bike, apache is for street racing and cornering and zma is for comfort and best for touring - smooth, reliable,no vibes etc and 220 is also good for touring, actually I have a soft corner in my heart for pulsar
so was planing to buy one though facing lots of issue with svc on my 150 pulsar but still planned to buy a 220 as PBK svc was good but I think I should drop the plan to buy a pulsar again and look for r15 but again its a 150cc and not good for touring
and RE, can't wait for 2-3 months or for RE C500 dam 8-11 months

I agree RTR180 is a better handling bike than Karizma and P220 and thats one of the reasons i went to buy the RTR and not 220. But when you are riding for hours at a stretch on a highway, what will you do with the handling? Its then that you need a less vibey engine (read, not vibe free as no engine is vibe free). I always knew RTR had vibes and that RTR180 has even lesser vibes. So i thought i would be able to get used to it. But the level of vibration that it produces is not acceptable to me (maybe some people can but not me) when i am going for long rides. Thats why i feel so excited whenever i ride a Karizma or a P220 or a R15. Its the vibes more than anything else.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostGuitar bhai...........the other side of the river is always green

To add to this i have been facing problem about something or the other right from day 1 and the dumb svc guys are least bothered. And its not just a one off case, just go through the RTR180 ownership thread and you will regret saying "RTR180 is far more reliable and tougher than the P220". I know the problems can be solved if i keep at it but i have bought the bike to ride it and enjoy it and not to keep visiting the svc every now and then and that too for nothing. I simply dont have that much time. I have been to Bajaj probiking a couple of times and have also taken taken two of my friends who own a Honda and a 220 to TVS svc and even they were telling me, "This is the quality of servicing of TVS?" I may have lived with the bike if the after sales was good but sorry i am not the guy who likes to ignore the cons of his bike especially when they bother me and be satisfied by finding out the similarities of it with 1000 cc-s.Last edited by theguitarfreak; 07-07-2010, 06:11 PM.You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.
