TVS RTR180 is far more reliable and tougher than the P220..........I almost bought it if I had not got back my Shogun and saved for a future Superbike. Its a great VFM indeed.
I know you are frustrated with the level of service they provide at the Shah TVS....believe me,people at Shah TVS are laat sahibs and nawabs.
Try out any other major service outlets like P.D.TVS(Baguiati) or Shiva Auto(Suzuki SVC but does HH,TVS,Yamaha and Bajaj too) then you wont feel like complaining.
You like ZMA........which does not puts down power the way RTR180 does.
You like P220........which is more comfortable according to you,but believe me,for a slender figured corner carver like you the RTR180 is still the best,220 is all about straight-line and that too with the handle coming off !!!! this aint funny
You like R15........only you havent cried for its costly parts and high maintenance till now

RTR180 is absolute VFM at the price it retails for.Just love the machine that chose you and quit finding faults with it.....or lamenting what other provides

    The best Bajaj I find is not a Bajaj..........its a Kawasaki....the Ninja250r honestly.
Same is the case with my brother's Wind 125 too....the best 125cc from Bajaj was again a Kawasaki.Believe me even the new Pulsar-LS is no match for a well maintained Wind.

Lets be now Peaceful and cool.....

Thanks abcek for alerting our brothers.....lets be careful on this issue now and lets be less OT.

Hey...Mach Bhai.... Once you get used to Zma's Comfort, Refinement, and Reliability of HONDA Engine, No body will ever think of switching their bike until unless they are looking for some SBK.

Logically thinking You pay 74 G for a RTR 180, Shell out 10 G more and get a Zma.

Honestly speaking as per my Experience. Ofcourse their are lot better bikes than Zma. But Zma is the best Commuter,Sport tourer In India @ 86 Grands price Bracket ....

But when you are riding for hours at a stretch on a highway, what will you do with the handling? Its then that you need a less vibey engine (read, not vibe free as no engine is vibe free). I always knew RTR had vibes and that RTR180 has even lesser vibes. So i thought i would be able to get used to it. But the level of vibration that it produces is not acceptable to me (maybe some people can but not me) when i am going for long rides. Thats why i feel so excited whenever i ride a Karizma or a P220 or a R15. Its the vibes more than anything else.

To add to this i have been facing problem about something or the other right from day 1 and the dumb svc guys are least bothered. And its not just a one off case, just go through the RTR180 ownership thread and you will regret saying "RTR180 is far more reliable and tougher than the P220". I know the problems can be solved if i keep at it but i have bought the bike to ride it and enjoy it and not to keep visiting the svc every now and then and that too for nothing. I simply dont have that much time. I have been to Bajaj probiking a couple of times and have also taken taken two of my friends who own a Honda and a 220 to TVS svc and even they were telling me, "This is the quality of servicing of TVS?" I may have lived with the bike if the after sales was good but sorry i am not the guy who likes to ignore the cons of his bike especially when they bother me and be satisfied by finding out the similarities of it with 1000 cc-s.

the svc is the only problem faced by me ....... everything else seems just fine....although after only one complain they are paying special attention towards my bike but still i agree with you....tvs needs to do something right now with their svcs(or maybe its just a problem with shah tvs). even in that case tvs should look into the matter and if every owner complains to tvs i bet they would look into the "shah tvs" matter
ride on guitar bhai and i know you will fall in love with the rtr 180......rtr 180 is the best in its class....

Its 80 now man in orissa
For me the best alrounder in India is ZMA it handles better tha P220 in the corners. Pretty well balanced, good breakes good enough power, nice torque ( i did a double in north sikkim off roads for 300 odd kms)
But it wont be able to give you the instant rush, its true.

                Fortunately I own a bike.............
which is actually a bike that is like ZMA-if not better at refinement, and also better at economy too being just a 150cc.....
Suzuki GS150R is actually the ZMA of 150cc category.
6th gear 9000 rpms........not a single vibration from the bike....and no noise too,,,,,,just purring. Most supremely comfortable tourer in India.

Fortunately I also own a bike.......
which revs faster than RTR180 to 10,000rpms and now with mods it can do 128kmph comfortably without crouch and all the antics ........it comes from a time when bikes without vibrations were not called Motorcycles
Its the Suzuki Shogun......now its 16PS and its a bad boy 2T without catcon and pseudo expansion chamber.

Having tasted the best of both worlds..........atleast I am confident about one fact that there would pros and cons with every vehicle. But if I had put down my hard earned money on something I would appreciate it with all my Love.Unconditional Love is something that doesn't asks about cons.I love both of my bikes and they return me the favour when I need them,be it Haldia highroad or the narrow roads with monster wheels trying to run down or be it the altitudes of thin-air and freezing temperatures of a winter fed Darjeeling.

Its good that I try to find similarities with 1000cc bikes on my mere 150cc bike.....after all my bike lives upto those standards.......I am assured about that......and thats why I bought it,sorry I am not the one who repents after buying.
I love and live with my rides after buying them.
Moreover the so called 1000ccs of now-a-days rose from a 750cc.That 750cc still lives and I hope that within a couple of years I would have one too.....if not a 1300cc.Thank you God that you have kept my Love for my Bike unconditional, otherwise I would be changing bikes now and then instead of saving for the real deal..........I will go a long way with it. Lets be at peace now brothers

You mean to say if you find the food in a restaurant bad you dont complain just because you have paid for it? Then you shouldnt have upgraded from your Zeus . The human mind is never satisfied and always hungers for more. If that hadnt been the case, the world would have never witnessed anything beyond 100cc motorcyles. But lets bunk it. Everyone can have his own perception and i respect that. Peace. Amen.

Are you comparing food in faltu restaurants to bikes????? !!!!!

Zeus was a 125cc....not a 180cc like yours Actually planned to go for the RTR180,expected Fi,where vibrations would die more....alas it dint come, till now
Then,Zeus was bought in hurry, never planned to buy it in first place, exchanged by the same terms that I signed with Suzuki 10 months ago.....it was a different history dear
I required a powerful and comfortable commuter for my daily rides while stuffing the Shogun with mods......whose project is still on.....

Ok Peace and Amen ......buries the hatchet

And as far as I know RTR180 is an over spicy hot food or like a Dark Chocolate(you dont buy it,you earn it)......enjoy it and the tongue salivates at its very smell.
