The Official Kolkata Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

About 2xtreme: Well, we all met and started riding together thanks to xBhp, but then one fine day after a ride and stunting session we came up with that name for a mini group that had the best guys in it from the lot back then...

however for one reason or the other, including guys moving out of town, others getting on with their lives, work and relationships and a few weird power and ego struggles that led to the group breaking up...

Most of us still meet and hang out, but the 2xtreme name has now been left for cold...long story: will probably tell you how things went down over a cold beer or hot tea/ coffee one of these days...if you're up for it!

Let's meet up this Sunday and ride...but it would be great to have everyone's phone numbers so that I could get in touch with you guys and hash out a plan...

Would be awesome if you or any one else could send me phone numbers of the members form the current group to me via PM OR simply PM me your phone number so that we could communicate and get this thing off the ground for real!

DBPC, Park Circus sounds like the right place to start off from and highway ride is always a great idea....but would love to discuss the rest of the plans in detail over the phone and confirm them before posting them here.

A Lap Of Some Of The Best Roads in Kolkata



Suggested Route Map for Sunday, 22nd August, 2010.
Ideal Time For Meet: 6:30 A.M.: Don Bosco, Park Circus
Plan: To Ride, Hang Out and Generally Have a Blast! :P

The above stated picture highlights the route I had in mind for our Sunday morning ride.

This route or 'lap' covers some of the best, grippy, flowing roads in the heart of Kolkata.

There're some sections have smooth, fast, low traffic straights, others -nice flowing corners and some cool chicanes.

Yet other parts of this 'circuit' are marked by medium traffic sections and some great eateries and hang out joints where we could settle down at the end of the ride to grab a bite and get to know each other better...

This G2G Idea was conceptualized with the onus on riding and brotherhood. I really do hope that we'll have a maximum turnout for this one too...

We can do as many laps as we like!

Its an in-city ride,so hoping for a good turn out.
You just make sure that Gibran attends this ride

But is it a street race or a ride????
If it is a ride,one lap at 65-70kmph speeds would do............including some good deal of gossip and eating and stunt show from stunters.Lets move on with the plan.

If it is a street race..............several laps with maximum attainable speeds would be required.
Though,Street racing is not encouraged at Xbhp

ya i am in ....... but confirmation saturday.........is it a street or just an in-city ride is my ques too????!!!!!!!!!! BTW although the ride is to be starting at around 7am but the one way rules apply at 8am shouldnt that be a problem since there are no to and fro markers on the lap given? We can plan for a Chandannagar ride as suggested by Joy@rpm6000...

Hi Jai bhai.....how about visiting my home town Chandannagar this Sunday instead of the Lap route as we already had a city ride?.......Its a nice place if in case we could also move ahead to Chinsurah or visit Bandel............
