G2G on 16th - planning for the Trip.

I am starting from the begening...............
We met at CC-2 initially, then had a short ride to the Newtown Bus Stand and had a chat till the evening with coke, cashew nuts, cofee and the smoke!

The greatest Kolkata G2G ever

A few words can never describe some memories,yet when we remember them our very words are lost.That is the very thing thats happening to me now as I am writing this trip for the records.This is a G2G that spun over two districts of West Bengal through three regions, with the most myriad gathering of Bikers ever witnessed by Shantiniketan.Each of the Xbhpians there-were truly the good humans who actually define bikers,that is big hearts and bigger dreams and biggest of the guts, above pettiness and above discrimination.The Xbhp Bikers.
The Bikers were Mach50,Onwheels and Sunny9830687955 from Kolkata,drvmtm and Snigdhangsu from Barddhaman,RitoCBZ and 1eighty from Shantiniketan.The Bikes were Suzuki Zeus,Hero Honda Hunk,TVS Apache RTRFi,Pulsar 180DTSi,Pulsar 22OF,Hero Honda CBZ and Royal Enfield Electra.

The three of us from Kolkata started for Shantiniketan at 6.30am,we actually started early from our homes but the meet in got delayed and its usual.We wanted a cool ride and not a adrenaline driven fast one as it screws up long rides.After that we all had a taste of never before driven road,and I was the one who cant slow down !!!!! We all were then missing the Superbikes and we now knew that even in India we needed them as Cars wheezed past us at speeds higher than our Top speeds, such were the roads.However after a continuous 90km we stopped at the dhaba Hotel Hindustan as On wheels mentioned before.Over there we filled ourselves up with the Aloo paratha and Aloo ka dum whose quantity we had underestimated Anyway, one plate we have to leave for charity in order to save ourselves the wrath of over eating
Then again we hopped onto our bikes and rode off, this time I chose to let go of my greed of riding fast and chose to cruise but at a higher speed with Onwheels and Sunny.We stopped at Saktigarh within 15 minuted to inform Drvmtm about our arrival.He told that he would be waiting for us,seldom did he knew,what kind of fun we were having then.After the call we hopped onto our bikes and with a single pick up we all went on without slowing down and reached our rendezvous point even before we anticipated !!!!! The Doc and Goldie(aka Snig) arrived later as we completed our set of photography.Then began our light hearted riding.Goldie is an enthusiastic rider,Drvmtm is a bit of laze around and graze at high speed rider.So we all got in gelled pretty fast.I rode with Goldie, who wanted to do some fast straights on his P220 irrespective of Cows and their dungs and goats and ducks and I seemed to be comfortable.At the back Doc,Onwheels and Sunny Konkal was coming in their usual laid back cruising.Ok it was time for some tricky corners and bad shaped curves on the roads, I had to be watchful riding with Goldie.The doc took care of my two comrades .We reached the outskirts of Shantiniketan where our hosts RitoCBZ and Sayantan were waiting.Then we had a share of really bad roads.Exposed ballasts, covered with heap of sands which are sworn in enemies of high speed stability.We kept riding till our lodge-which was a Govt. NABARD lodge.
After that it was a bikers day out,our conversations only had Power,torque, pistons and sprockets,with a pinch of Rossi and electricals thrown in
Drvmtm's expertise in making us laugh and making lights glow is unquestionable,(infact I kept laughing even in bathroom when I remembered his stories and even on my bike !!!! while RitoCBZ took the Docs P180 which is now a 2 wheeled UFO with its out-of-this-world lighting, for a ride around his whole town of Shantiniketan!!!)
We spent an afternoon riding each other's bikes.It was really awesome and was fun.Our gossip by the dry river bed is some kinda incident one have to wait ages for.For once I thought are we really the same persons united through Xbhp, then I knew that true Bikers were never strangers to each other and we rode and moved about each other like never before friends,This was awesome.
Nightime loomed in fast,Doc and Goldie took our leave,I never feared their night time departure,with Docs expertise in electricals putting an Express train to shame, in the lighting department.We the Kolkatans were treated with never before tasted foods,yes- I hope how many of you heard about Cheese Dosa and Chicken Dosa,it was a North meet South crossover with East meets West Crossover type of food.
A 2t also joined in-an immaculately maintained RX100 with its rider Sayan, a local, friends with Rito.Onwheels had the thrill of his life as he rode a 2T for the first time .Snig aka Goldie got a ride of what he had heard off in Doc's Folklores
Then my day ended with the biggest fun ever.I got to ride Rito's Enfield Electra, and I was just blown outta my mind.I had ridden a standard REBullet350 before.But this was totally different,Electra is a 350 refined beyond limits.RE has changed for really good in years.The powerful thing accelerated like a rocket.Infact Rito was leading the pack on his CBZ,and he was fast,but to me,just on his rear fenders,on the Electra it felt like Rito was not riding fast or for that matter the CBZ infront of me din't seemed to move at all !!!!! Just a small release of clutch and Electra walked at the speeds where other bikes runs.Rito and myself were faster than the rest of the group and we arrived at the lodge for the night.But yes,Fast and hard on torque the Electra might be,it did had the amazing efficiency of finding one false neutral between every gear shifts, as told by Sayantan
The Enfiled Electra was amazing, I always longed for longer straights.Narrow roads with speed breakers now and then dint gave me the chance to have the fun more.I took a corner, a leaning one at Rito's behind with the Electra and it felt like a feather !!!!!!
I undoubtedly have to elect the Electra as the Ride of the G2G.Awesome,simply awesome!!!!
The night had some cool incidents with Onwheels's snoring sounding like a Pulsar150 on engine brakes ,and Sunny doing a Xbhp ghost dance in the room and me quiting sleeping out of mosquito bites but still this is what an actual Bike ride should be like
We left the next day as usual in the morning with Rito n Sayantan(1eighty) guiding us out of the Shantiniketan.................as we flew back to Kolkata, to our daily lives and in the madding crowd.Time for pics.

@ajosro thanks and...........we did have our share of 100cc superbikers

They were Bajaj Boxers,Hero Honda Splendours and HH Super Splendours

One of them was riding with his butt perched on the pillion grab rails,balls out Madmax style,of his Bajaj Boxer
The Super Splendour was doing a two up bolt on corner without helmets,while we were finding a free space to stop
The HH Splendour,with the uncle on goggles and without a helmet was simply going top speed in hope of riding with me He did catch up with me and rode for a while, as I was searching my RVM for the Hunk and RTR,who were rising from sleep then

The Hunk(Bappa) and RTR(Sunny) had their share of 100cc superbike on the NH2 while returning as a Bajaj Boxer with two riders went top speed in order to cruise with them but as the cruise speed seemed higher so the Boxer went 2t from 4t with heavy smoke coming from the silencer as it surpassed The Hunk and The RTR I was informed of this supernatural feat later on by my comrades.....as I was ahead

I was very exicited for the trip but due to some unavoidable reason have to go to office & i was doing night shift so went to office at 9pm and by doing ghochi baji left office around 1.30am midnight

after washing went to sleep, only had sleep for 1.30hrs wake up & it was time to roll on road & just open the gate my pet stray dog comes in just to have a look of my shining beast

while returning we halt for few min and one of our member went to empty his tank, after emptying he is returning
