buddy if u want to go highway rides....please DO NOT use a half helmet....god forbid...it wont save the face if suffered a fall....since u have no prob withe the budget den u can go for Sparx ....they are simply amazing...otherwise LS2 and studds scorpion are quite good

In fact I have loved the LS2 & VEGA ones visible online.
Whatever be the choice of lid I will try it physically @ least once.

In that case will buy this new one but will use my old STUDDS Golf with a changed Visor for highway ride.

You wont get Sparx here in Kolkata. You can only get KBC at Manish's shop in Wellington for 5.5k and above. Then there are the imported MRCs and stuff which you can get within 2k. They are quite good and better than Studds. If you want Sparx in India you can check out this site .

You are spot on but these are exceeding my budget I presume.

Just now a friend of mine called me & informed that VEGA is available somewhere near KHANNA Cinema. Will move there in an hour to have a glimpse.

Cannot wait much since I'll be having my bike in THREE days probably.

@satyajit RC..............actually I think u were doing an overestimation of helmets with the kind of budget and brands u can use.I mean to say u can get same quality helmets at a much lower budget.They would be of Indian make and not internationally branded.Its just like buying the Hero Honda Karizma instead of Honda CRF230L.I use the Aaron Hybrid Decor,its features matches exactly the Arai Corsair-V.Its Indian make and is meets ISI specifications for safety standards.It costs only Rs.1200.Available at registered Aaron shop at Wellington.
I also have the Autogreen Speed which is actually a motocross helmet and it has features of Arai VXpro3.......except the fact that with the Arai product,air flow is much better.It also meets the ISI safety standards.It cost me only Rs.1000.
Bappaditya uses Rhino from Studds,also of Indian make ISI, costs Rs.1300, he also uses Aaron Ace whose air flow isnt very good, costs Rs.700.
Sunny the Konkal (dont be scared ) uses Aaron Hybrid exactly similar to my helmet minus the frills and a AMG helmet, whose standards I cant specify,he can tell better than me.

We all use Indian make Helmets whose quality by no means is substandard and they are all available at Wellington.But since you are searching for International brands, thus I cannot shed much light on that.

To be precise I wanted some answers that Indian makes are also quite good.
Finally I have also decided on these products. May be I will get some good ones of VEGA in and around 1500/- by Tuesday.

I can arrange them sure, but I do not know what place can be nice.... Victoria memorial is the only place that comes to my mind, but there is a wall around it at a distance... maybe some people from kolkata can suggest....

Fireblah, try Rajarhat,its a vast expanse of expensive road,with a lot of inwards extension.Victoria Memorial is a crowded place,Places as Digha or Mandarmoni would seem tiring and distant for Sunny bhai who might come from Delhi.

If u need we can volunteer the photoshoot by managing traffic and onlookers.I can lead u there.Its basically a very empty place.And I think with a very good road and tall buildings with clear sky in backdrop, you can photoshoot the Fireblade and the R1 eloquently and ecstatically ofcourse

Nighthawk_Lee was totally coming but suddenly as he informed me tonight he can barely stand,fever has taken a deadly toll on him.His ears have got fluided up.So he is seriously sick.

Soumen.Sam is leaving for Mumbai tomorrow.

Satyajit RC will take delivery of his new bike,congrats to him for that, but it seems he wont make it in all possibilities.

Neil can come tomorrow if he has no other plans,as he has promised.

Booked and got it delivered WHITE angel...
Everything in a single day XBHPians. But can be put properly on Road around WEDNESDAY.
My BIKE was manufactured on 06-May-2010 and in my home on 16-May-2010. Can you guys belive this?

Reached the Thakurpukur Showroom around 9:45 AM with my wife. They were half opened and got it delivered around 2:00 PM.
Returned home @ 3:30 PM. Very tired due to the beating SUN.

It was hectic as there were plans for BOOKING only but took a chance. Searched nearby ATMs. Used both our ATM Cards and Credit Card.

Cleaned my bike with shampoo and water neatly in home to find the scratches.
There are few but negligible. Nothing to rant about.

At showroom the reading was 2kms and reached home after driving 15kms without Helmet in this SUN & a SAFETY issue too.
Besides only ONE litre petrol was given by them. Nearest good Petrol pump was after driving 11kms more.
Could not enjoy the brief ride for the above mentioned reasons.
Filled up 15.5 litres @ the station.

However it is a pleasure to drive. Difficult to ride below 60kmph, I admit this.
It is deadly tempting and awesome to drive. Mid range is fantastic.
I felt the breaking was absolutely fantastic around 55kmph.

Do not worry guys. Will come up with Ride Report, Pictures & next G2G.

^^^^ there are amazing places around the Rajarhat railway station....jst crossing the Rajarhat 'chowmatha'' , there are a number of swamps which are amazingly beautiful during the rains
