sunny....i would like to add a couple of things to the plan you are making for the Shantiniketan trip....i quite regularly visit Shantiniketan so i would like you guys to be exceptionally cautious(just to avoid any kind of mishaps)there are a huge number of 100cc superbikers ready to distract and disturb you guys...for this i would suggest you guys to ride short distances along with all the riders planing for the trip(as in sector V to CC2 a couple of times before the ride just to understand each others riding style)...see group riding is all about adjusting with the other fellow riders....ride a speed thats comfortable to everyone....be it 30kmph or 100kmph(provided everyone returns home safe n sound and in one piece ) i would always prefer enjoying the scenery as well as while riding....the road frm Bardhaman to Gushkara is simply heavenly...the road conditions r good with green paddy fields on both side of the road....its simply great....be cautious along the NH2 coz these days the traffic has simply worsened....one word for all of you guys ...be extremely cautious and enjoy the ride......

ps: my post is not meant to offend any of my fellow xbhpians....i just prefer to ride with utter safety and enjoy every bit of a ride,i guess thats the main purpose of a ride i.e. to enjoy it to the fullest

Probably I have seen him also somewhere in Barasat (in his orange Apache), found him on my way to my office trapped in the shuttle cab.
As far as I know, he is having a good number of experience in touring..... so we can get some good advice from him.
Hay, dear....dear....we are the new flocks with the ambition to fly high, explore the unexplored...... we need you Brother.

and as far as I know everyone of us............myself,bappa,sunny,sayan,soumen..... .....all who will ride with us from Kolkata are very cool bikers.Most of the members I know of are very sophisticated riders.

I am simply wonder that how u got the notion of 100cc bikers doing wrap speeds among us !!!!!!!! First of all none of us have 100cc here according to my best knowledge,Second the formation and overtaking rules are of more importance.We all abide by 60-90kmph rule at all times.Yes and we may even have a RE350 in our group.
So,thanks for the advise,ruling out any fear of immaturity among us,please join us.

Remaining cool and abiding by the rules is the only of getting a group to ride positively.The whole group should move like a Train.

Sorry... cudnt post commnts n respond to the Thread quite long...
I was very much Busy 4 da last 2-3 weeks... making preparations 4 da "KaviGuru Rally 2010 on 8th May,2010"
Making all da paperworks, preparations, mods for da bike,etc,etc.. kept me Busy da whole day.. n this is my 1st time... so, the preparations took more time!....
Finally,... I'm taking part in a "Rally" which was my childhood 'dream'...

just 4-5hrs left for the "flag-off"...

tk cr guys... would surely attend da upcoming G2G's....

Split the group
decide who would be the header and tailer under all circumstances

the header shall be riding at a speed which is comfy with each and everyone in the pack

the tailer/swapper shall see that no one is left behind and takes proper signal/route

make a chart where all guys need to regroup and have a break as most can ride distances w/o breaks but some can't

Buddy i wasnt talking about someone from the pack....i was talking about the superheroes who instantaneously get charged up with high doses of adrenalin after seeing a pack of riders on never-seen-before bikes .....those guys r risky for all the members of the pack....they just come out of nowhere n bump into your bikes...this is from my xperience ...so wenever i ride a long distance i try not catch attention..though my bikes colour dosent allow me to .......maan i have been to places where they havent seen a pulsar 150 ....keep aside all the other bikes....once it happened that a guy on a splender with 4 on board suddenly wheelied on my right side n i instantly allowed him win that race

@Neil.............best of luck brother,do an awesome rally U r an Xbhpian, bring us good name,we also wanna see ur pics.I think RevRZ is only particpating in this event or are there others also ????

@Ajosro........yes I know of those bikers also.I have seen things more weirder than that.In the first G2G with Bikemanic where we rode till Uluberia Hindusthan Dhaba together,believe me we found a family man with his wife and child at his back trying to overtake us !!!!!!!! that too on a Passion !!!!!!! We werent even riding at some speed,Gibran(bikemanic) just shook his head at this folly.Another rider on a P150 rode right into our formation,making us wonder who he was and what he wanted,Bikemanic intercepted him with his R15 and he got off our tracks.We had been thru this b4, and we are not excited by these follies,bcoz I know if we start picking speeds,they would be no where.But we also need to maintain a good cruise speed at the same time,to enjoy the trip.But please Ajosro bhai, if u dont mind atleast join us on 16th May Sunday if not on the longer trip pls

@Sunny(mugambo) and Bappa..............we have another Xbhpian coming to join us, he is from my locality and my friend.Xbhp ID:Nighthawk_Lee,his garage has R15 and RE350.Though R15 is his regular ride A fantastic guy, though a bit rowdy like me

guys I think then its final -16th G2G at city center 2 around 4-4.30pm lets meet and ride together to sec-v azad hind have some thing and come back to mini bus stand near to DLF building and make plan for the trip

but if u guys think that the ride is not needed then lets cancel the ride and make plan for the trip and also need to see the pics which rito will bring with himself and lets do the trip on 22nd i.e., saturday and come back on sunday

overtaking would be done on singular mode,
one motorcycle passing the vehicle at one time when it is utmost safe to do so,
