hay guys, riding@85-90kmph under the heat of 38/40 c would not be a problem i think. me and mach50 has already done this while coming back from bokkhali. rahul(bluevolt) has also done this with his leather riding gears while travelling the western part of the country. we have to carry and drink lots of water - better if mixed with glucon d/electerol kind of stuffs.

just did a trip to kolkatta with my touring partner on p 180 and p 220.went to kol in evening,result,,,coool night ride ,no prob at all.just some sand trucks on nh2 thats it no prob at all.
CAME BACK YESTERDAY.STARTED FROM KOL 3 O CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON ..OHHH MY GOD.KOLKATTA WAS COOL IF U COMPARE WITH NH2!!IT WAS UNBEARABLE I REPEAT UNBEARABLE.I EVEN THOUGHT TO GIVE UP BIKING FOR A MOMENT........BUT SOON GAINED COCIOUSNESS......
SPEED VARIED FROM 40-60 80-90 110-130,NOTHING IS COMFORTABLE...........

tentatives looks good,so lets meet up on 11th April 2010,which is a Sunday at Rajarhat City Centre, at 5.00pm amid cool winds and lets have cool seated discussion about the touring,for the Shantiniketan trip via Burdwan.

Everyone is requested to come..........pls.

We wud discuss about the length of our trip,duration,route and few safety guidelines.So friends pls keep the date free,we need to be really determined if we need to enjoy our life out of the box and also prove sumthings in the way.

Ok Bikers.............we had a small in city meet at CC2 and had decided the tentatives for our next long ride.Our next destination would be Shantiniketan via Burdwan.25th of April which is a Sunday has been planned as the ride date.
Members present at the CC2 G2G were:
1.Onwheels
2.Sunny aka Konkal
3.Sam.soumen
4.MACH50(myself)
we were also expecting Guitarfreak,Neil and Bikemanic..........n they dint turn up due to their prior commitments.
Trip to Shantiniketan would be a single day trip by consensus.
We would start at 5.00am in the morning as the move out time,Shantiniketan is 180kms from Kolkata.Our cruise speed would be 80kmph to the max.We would traverse NH2 and then at Burdwan we would move onto NH2B.We expect to reach Shantiniketan around 10.00am.Then under the guide of RitoCBZ we wud ride to different parts of Shantiniketan have our lunch and rest.We then plan to start our return journey at 4.00 pm and ride some evening hours to Kolkata.

Now there are two ways for this trip as a move out from Kolkata:
1.Meeting point at Airport 2.5 No.(Arai Number) Motilal Colony this place is just opposite to Kolkata Airport 2.5 number gate,from there we wud move leftwards to Belghoria Expressway,cross Bally bridge and then ride the NH2.
2.Meeting Point at Esplanade Elite Cinema,from there to Howrah rightwards through Salkia to Belur,Bally(its a very small road,15 minutes is all we need in those hours) and then ride onto NH2.
So far members confirmed for move out are Onwheels,Sunny RTR,Sam,MACH50,four of us.

Depending on other interested members,the meeting point wud be decided according to a common convenience starting point.
We are expecting Sayan,Gutiarfreak,Neil,Psycho28 to join us from Kolkata.From Howrah,expecting Chris Terror and when we bypass Burdwan hoping that Drvmtm wud join us.

Bikemanic wud pass any rides for now as he said so we are not to expect him.(I miss his cool company, and still hope he wud ride)

Come on brothers time to ride.Please give ur opinions.

Sorry guys i couldnt turn up today. Had some other committments. Im not planning to tour this summer in this scorching heat. Let the mercury come down a bit and i will surely hit the streets with you guys. Best of luck for your trips.

If you guys decide to go through belghoria expressway then I would be easy for me as I can join you at dwaknishwar but......................I am really concern about the heat as in day time in city it become impossible to ride and riding for soo long in highway........I think it will effect both ours and bike's health......
