Its OK bro, We managed to complete the Puri Beach and Konark Ride successfully and we really enjoyed the beauty of Orissa. It was beyond our expectation. And Man Your roads are awesome....










We are planning a long Orissa Tour again after some months. We try to cover most of Orissa like Daringabari, Chilka etc etc.. This time with more members from xBhp Kolkata.
We also wish to have a G2G with you guys too during that time.

Will update you when we plan the details. Hoping to meet you guys soon.

lag means the bike won't be fast enough to catch them R15/ CBR/ DUKE rather than the so called above 200cc guys slowing down a bit to accommodate the slower guys(for any reason slow bike or burnt rectifiers) .

By lag I mean the bike which can’t keep up with group riders.

Everyone is told in advance about the route map and sightseeing details. As we have a limited no of holidays, we choose certain area of state and try to cover that whole area within given time. For the time being roads are that good in Odisha, that in 1 day, we can comfortably cover 300km in addition of 4-5 sightseeing place. If we start from 5Am we get 12 hrs of day light to cover the said route. So 300 km means 5hrs & 4-5 sightseeing means 5 hrs, in addition to that we have to adjust for food and refuelling.

Day 1 - We covered 540km and 1 sightseeing spot. 350 km of NH5 so it’s like 3:30 hrs but rest of the section are though village and ghats, where average speed will drop. A 150 or below cc bike won’t be able to keep up in the NH section. Every bike has a sweet spot to ride with, like duke 390 can do 160kmh but I can’t ride it all day long in that speed. But I can ride it in 80-120 Kmh all day long also with good mileage. Of course in case of breakdown or someone get lost we have to stick by each other and we had done that. But we can't just wait for a rider who is falling back 1-2 hr behind.

That day we reached the top of Deomali at 3:15 pm got to spend time for 2 hrs and trek a little bit for snaps.
But if a rider reach the base of Deomali at 5 pm he won’t dare to climb the mountain as the road are very bad & by 5:30 it get dark. So at that situation the solution will be to ride the closest place for stay which is Simliguda 40 km away. Now in order to see the same spot one has to ride 80 km to and fro the next day instead of moving on with day 2 plan. So yes we won’t be able to accommodate slow riders.


Same road trip day 2 – distance to cover 240 km, no of sightseeing were 6-7. On this day even a 100 cc bike can ride with us as the distance is small, roads are state highway so one has to ride slow.

Day 1 - Distance cover 453 km which also include 6 sightseeing places.
Day 2 – Distance covered 470 km with 5 sightseeing places.
We did this trip with a 150 cc bike and we had to take frequent breaks on NH thus took bit of more time

We covered 360 km with 5 sightseeing place. A 100 cc bike [hero splendor] also took part in this and completed it successfully. Total time taken 15hrs 30 min. but we cant push a 100-150 cc bike every day for 360 km right?

And of course a bikers can do a tour in anything he likes, be a 1000cc > 200 cc > 100cc or even on bicycle but they have to search for people with similar time frame and interest or better he can go solo.

Our group does have a tag line of “ANYBIKE-ANYONE” but in long distance road trip we have to maintain a group speed. Or else our budget and holiday will be out of order.
