Much better. I would suggest we do this practice in the NH4 itself as NH45 will be crowded.

I'll inquire with any of my friends whether there is any good hotel in Vellore/ Sriperambudur (???). May be we can have the discussion, details/ideas shared during that meet (breakfast meet).

    DO give in your suggestions.

Vellore will be too far. For one of the G2Gs, we can ride up to Sriperumbudur (and a bit beyond) and have breakfast and the discussions. If it is June 6, on the return, we can stop over at MMSC to watch a few races.

IIRC, the route that could be taken from Kochi must be, EKM-Thrissur-Palakkad-Coimbatore-Salem. Another could be, EKM-Chalakkudi-Pollachi-Thiruppur-Salem. IMO, they should be riding to Yercaud directly unless they take a different route. KL riders must confirm this.

+1; prefer NH4 over NH45, however NH45 is not crowded at all.

@Kirosh - No good hotels until Vellore & that too one need to get off the highway, unless you're talking about one of those "Kaiyendhi" bhavans or road side TABAAS (note the spelling of Dhabas )

Don't worry mate, by the time of the ride, I too will have a run in period on my motorcycle & would've clocked barely 400Km. Just don't strain the engine & ride; I've experienced good 5 running in experience on my motorcycles. If you've any questions, just PM me & we can converse directly. But you can drop off, if you're not confident. Your steed is more important than the ride.

        • @Aargee: Kerala riders are working out on their plan. More than the routes, it is the time that they will require to cover the distance.

The itinerary of all teams and all plans will be posted here as days go by.

            • @Kirosh - Ragav (felix.ragav) had requested me to fill out the Yercaud G2G form since he is out of station currently. I have filled and submitted the form.

Please confirm and add him to the Chennai gang's list on the first page.

I almost forgot that you frequent that route often. We need your contribution! PM me your email address. I will share the global spreadsheet with you.

@Kirosh - As Aargee is saying that there will not be any good hotel until Vellore, may be we can give NH 45 a look.

Will we be having any good hotels in NH45..?

Still 20 odd days to go.. hope that would even give him some more time to prepare for the trip.

Is the front page displaying list of riders participating from Chennai updated one? I have not seen much of inclusion on the list for quite some time. (or is it some of them have quitely opted out?)

I recently went to Yercaud via the Vaniyambadi - Arur route. Let me warn you that the roads were far worse compared to the mega G2G that happened a year or so ago. I didn't enjoy the ride like we did before. I strongly suggest meeting up at Krishnagiri and riding through Dharmapuri (or) be mentally prepared for some irritation through Arur.

Does that mean we will be riding back on Saturday afternoon itself Camping at Yercaud/Salem and riding back on Sunday may be little less taxing I feel.

I am not sure I will be able to procure a left side RVM for my bike.

EDIT: My name figures in both the lists
