Hey how about checking out the new FZ16, this sunday? 'cause somebody told me that it has a estimated top-speed of 130kmph!?! sounds made-up to me esp. and when it running on a CV Carb (I saw it on one of the display models) or is it?

Well the Subject is - when it is Yamaha the controversies and Rumours Spreads like anything

Remember the R15 generated reasonless Humours - and i belive it is the R15 speculation Thread which should have made the XBHP Server Crash

But to say frankly - lets wait for it guys - 130 Top Yak

I have done a max of 132 on my bike on the speedo. So 130 on the FZ16 is .

Reasons :
1. Huge front and rear tires
2. Lower powered
3. Since its a naked city rider, it would probably have better low-end and mid-range and geared accordingly. So cannot expect a high top-end.

Just got a copy of bike india today so let's clear this up
Max. Power - 14ps@7500rpm
Max. Torque - 13.6Nm@6000rpm
Top Speed - 111kmph (true speed) 118kmph (speedo indicated)
IMO it was a disappointment that it was'nt a Fi, but other than that is THE sexiest naked bike from around here
