i have been there.Unless you want to drink/do weed,its not too much fun and IMO its off season.hardly any birds are there.And water in the pond will be scarce too.
any more ideas ?

Err...shade yes.but Vedanthangal has no food.Just a few tea kadais outside.
Gingee has everything nearby.And climbing the fort is not so easy.I couldnt do it last time
