So I am creating this new thread for continuing discussion of the same.
So now we've reached more than 400 pages, rather approaching 450 pages now

    • @ sriram : Stated that it will have to be replaced with a High intensity LED. It's going to be High Intensity LED because they consume less power but have a good pwr output..

How about the CCD at Neelangarai? Good parking and lot of space. Best of all, its on the ECR! Its of course not as cheap as lazing out at Cozee....

          • I'm good if its inside the city and OK if its in ECR. I havent had the chance to enjoy a day at home ever since I joined my job. Would look forward to meeting in the evenings.

Loads of suggestions pouring in. The time tested ECR and Bessie are the only ones which havent stood the test are now up all ready to take a beating!

Good suggestion. Again, this is for evening meet if I understood it correct.

              Why day time preferred?

Reason: Mornings less crowd so less traffic. Less worry on the cop check.
Mostly, it leaves most of them to plan the weekend evening with other commitments.

Since our members are scattered across the city, it would be of real help to avoid the evening traffic.

I hope many would agree to join in the mornings before the day gets hot.

We can have occasional evening G2G, however, it depends on the location and convenience to one who will need to travel in these hectic traffic.

Location: Thanks to many suggestions for an alternative to Besant Nager beach.

We can also think of having morning rides and evening meets so that we can have members to choose from.

Morning rides: We can have alternative weeks (again depends on the response).
Evening meets: Shall be decided on the location and call for the count.

Let each one of us discuss our thoughts so that we can plan to make our meets interesting and not 'boring'.

                  • @ sriram and deva: The Karizma has a 12 Pole Coil unit IIRC, which is not a direct fit on the hunk. If deva wants to stick to the Current Stock setup, I dont think the ZMA 's unit would help him. On the other hand, For higher power Coil rewinding is the Only alternative. Why? Very simple, the Stock Coil setup is not powerful enough to take all the electrical unit. The Hunk has very limited electrical load if you note. The analog Tacho, Speedo and Fuel gauge are testaments that either the coil is heavily under utilized or the bike's Coil can only support limited loads. It is only possible through experimentation that a proper result can be known. I've removed my Number plate light to save some juice for the battery. The Horn strength issue has now disappeared. The light from my stop/brake lights are good enough to illuminate the number plates. I'm planning to change my pilots to LED to save some more watts, just in case. The HID is doing a awesome job on the highway as well. Had to drop a colleague at his place in ECR and found it a breeze drving in poorly lit streets and highways

@apar : Dude, this stuff is too good man. Enjoying every minute of my night ride wonder how you manged to evade those cops. Poor fellas must have been terrified whenever they heard the loud exhaust note and the BRIGHT HL's

The only tiny problem I see with this is, we will run out of places soon . The pessimist in me feels that 2 meetups every month is a bit of an overkill. How about every 4th sunday of everymonth or something? Just a thought.

Of course, lets experiment and see how the response is.

                                @Ragav - Neat explanation.

I hope this is clear as what Deva should be doing for better headlight.
Deva, as advised, open a separate thread to discuss if more information is required.
