Group ride to Jawadhu hills.

Had a superb time on the ride to Jawadhu hills.

Riders :-
1. Sriram sir (leader) (ZMA)
2. Magesh (GS150R)
3. Divya Sharan (ZMR)
4. Prithvi (Sweeper) (CBR 250R)

Distance to and fro - 466 kms. (Measured from Thiruvanmiyur RTO)
Petrol consumed on my bike - about 11 litres.
Mileage - ~42.36 kmpl and running.

Lessons learnt - I suck on hills. Highway riding is one thing, hills are a different ball game together. Yercaud is so much forgiving, I mean; roads to the hill in Yercaud are wider, whereas here; its much much narrow...
I locked my front wheel twice, had a rear wheelspin once, went off tarmac while cornering 4 times.

But, overall, I loved it. Special thanks to Sriram sir for making this trip a memorable one. Thanks a lot Prithvi and Magesh. You guys rock!

Hoping a similar ride soon.... Urge other members to join as well.

Oh Divya, you're a cool rider.,no probs on the ghat section,safety is more important than speed..

Had a very wonderful experience to ride in as a group., Our 1st ride started with 2members, 2nd ride with 4 members, ..hope our third ride will have triple the count..

I just went for a ride to break some fatigue. This time since we started early was slightly better avoiding the heat. First time I felt so sleepy, stopped at a village and slept off for a quick nap during the return.

Hey all,

Missed quite a few GTGs, and now i am hit by jealousy... Jawadhu Hills shoud have been a lovely ride,especially with the weather holding up really well for the biking fraternity, though i guess rain showers are round the corner,now.

Talking about hills, i have been scouting Kollimalai hills for some time now and i am planning to ride to this place in the month of July,if weather permits. Proposed route options: 1) Chennai- Vellore- Vaniyambadi- Tirupattur- Uthangarai- Harur- Salem- Kolli malai . 2) Chennai - Chengalpattu- Tindivanam- Ulundurpet-Kallakurichi-Attur- Kolli Malai road.
Please pass your inputs on the routes and other details. Also,would love to ride along with anyone else interested.
