Same thing happened to me, Three days before while cop stopped me near Tambaram and paid Rs50 for Fibre kinda number plate,at that time he asked me about the jacket and gloves and he Touched the jacket and asked what kinda stones are inside I don't know how to reply so said its for safety purpose and he appreciated about that and enquire about the cost etc etc later after receiving the chalan I left the place with big smile and said Bye anna

Today, I did not have much......

Few posts before there was a post complaining that cops are misunderstanding the purpose of safety gears, well with my experience cops encourage us wearing those gears too, if we are polite enough and make them understand its purpose.

Yuv - I have three possible explanations -

1. You dreamed the whole thing
2. The cops were shooting a documentary
3. You found the only two decent cops in the Chennai Metropolitan Police Force.

After more than 25 years of experience with the city's cops, I have only one sentence to describe my feeling towards them - I despise them.

I understand that all cops are not corrupt and they have a crappy and thankless job but after being victimised innumerable times by the scum of the earth in Khaki uniform many times for no good reason at all, I can only say that I have nothing positive to say about them at all.

On a more pleasant and positive note, "Merry Christmas" !

I understand your point exactly, with close to 12 yrs on wheels even I had the similar feeling about CCTP and kakhi's of chennai.. but very recently I notice few decent cops out there which we should start appreciating and that's what i wanted to make a point here..
