  • It was a nice weekend ride since long long time. Group responded well and all the more flexible which was the best part. I Thank Aargee to come up with Circuit plan, which is something I'm introduced for the first time. The whole ride was incident free and success.

It was unfortunate for Pratheep could not join the ride as his bike is still at YASS. Anyway Pratheep we will go once more for Offroading.

Dinesh:- As usual the story was well narrated with illustration. Your writing is something I love to watch out for. Thanks for handling the camera as well.

Newbies:- Vivek, Rishi and Avinash, Thanks for showing up, hope you guys had a wonderful time and getting familiar with group riding skills. Off course it takes some conscious effort and practice that will help you safe riding.
Spl Thanks to Avinash for handling camera. He got Sony nice one! (better upload the picture soon). So we got another camera man apart from the regulars.

            • Hi Guys...!

Too bad i had to miss my first group ride. Hope i wont miss the next one atleast. The pics and the log was great. Wondering how much i indeed missed...and its pretty much i guess Hoping for the volcano to keep bursting out more hot lava in the coming months. The weather is just too good to be missed out. Feeling unfortunately on how public and police have started looking @ bikers. Guess people will never get mature. One more accident and i guess they will even ban motorcycles. Atrocious.

Anyways, looking forward to my first group ride.

We can do overnight trips (and have done too), but the only issue is that, the risk factor also goes up & there's nothing more to enjoy riding high speed on broad day lights.

What we could do is...start from Chennai by 7:00 PM, ride to Shoolagiti Mc Donalds by around 11:00 - 11:30; catch up there at McDonalds say upto 2:00 AM, then ride back to Chennai by around 6:00 AM. Would a one way 240+ Kms Would that work?

Or start from Chennai by 7:00 PM, ride to Pondicherry say by 9:30-10:00 PM, have dinner at Promenade & then return back to Chennai by 4:00 AM or so; we can probably take Tindivanam route when coming back on account of safety & checking at ECR.

Loving these Ideas consultant saar.. I feel for night rides we should be splitting the group to 3-4 per group.

What is that you feel as risk here.. the Idea you suggested for night ride or splitting the group?

I feel when we are riding in a large group, we put all our mind in maintaining the formation and tend to forget the basic principle of paying way for the high speed motorist on road. At nights when there is less traffic, the SUVs and sedans usually does 3 digits speed, and it will be of more risk if we are blocking their way.

What's the risk??? Lol!!! Simple a breakdown will shatter down the entire ride or the individual; if its middle of nowhere, we're stranded there for the rest of the night; needless to mention cop trouble; some ppl (some) have trouble riding with headlights both with the vehicle as well as with the vehicles on opposite direction (esp with ECR roads); puncture is another story; both tubeless & traditional tubes are headache...and...I'm stopping with this
