    • It was nice meeting You guys. Learnt a lot about group riding, thanks to the senior riders. It was embrassing having a spill in the off road, but I am always open to learn new things. While coming a few cops caught us, we had a hard time explaining them that we are not racing. They caught us only after seeing all the protective gears. Funny people not wearing helmet is also an offence and following all the protective measures is also an offence according to them.

            • thanks to all senoir and new members who took part in today's ride..this is my first official group ride and to say in short, it was awesome.I really had a different feeling to be a part in such a gang. learnt a lot today from many of them. the way sri anna jisted the group riding rules keeping safety of all in mind was splendid. being a newbie in today's g2g thought that i would be left aside.but the way each and every member moved friendly was nice and I really thank you all. last but mot the least, the way public looked our gang of bikes and when they came enquired about our ride i felt proud to explain them.once again thanks all.
yuvi anna:thats one serious off roading.enjoyed it
Whizzkid_Ram: thanks for alowing me to sit on your ninja for a pic!

Why Should one send you their contact numbers all by themselves? Shouldn't you be requesting whose contact you are interested in getting it?

Never be embarrassed to fall down. Almost every one who is on two wheels is bound to fall - Ability to get up and ride after the spill matters. I myself fall down plenty of time doesn't mean i am embarrassed about it

Bro, How do you expect Us to wait 45 minutes for you when we dont know if you would make it? It was just another casual ride - If it was for a Bigger ride - we would obviously collect the phone numbers, etc.

If you wanted to let us know you could have PMed any of Us, even so be it the night before the ride.

Not all is lost, You are always welcomed to join - Even if you are late - inform the organizer via SMS or PM before hand. Cheers!

                      • Circuit Ride - Chennai - Kanchipuram - Chengalpattu - Chennai

Chennai Xbhp thread had been like a dormant Volcano for sometime, as you expect the volcano started to spur some smoke when Sriram and few others newbies decided to meet up - That's couple of weeks back where Avinash and Rishi met up. Then came it started to spur out some Ash when most of the group were active in the forum and suggestions were up for a short ride but postponed due to weather conditions. Either way this didnt blow out the Ashes - We (Me, Bharath(Dr.venom), Steve, Ananth, Manoj, Nishant, Sriram) all met up for Breakfast G2G at Cozee last week and discussin/chatted related bikes and the upcoming short Ride. After that the volcano started to spur more amount ashes which lead to the Circuit Ride to Chennai - Kanchipuram - chengalpattu - Chennai.

Time to start from the meet-up point - Trade Center was 6.00am which means i got to start by 5.30am from home, which is tough during this season as the weather is cold and wouldn't allow you to wake up from warmth of the soft quilt - But still the thought of doing a ride in this chilly weather didnt allow to me sleep. Woke up by 3.30am itself. Watched TV for sometime and refreshed myself with the cold water which sent chills to my bones :-) Was getting geared up, Nishant messaged me that he is gonna start from his place - so i got ready and Took my Tail bag to check out how it fits and stays on my FZ - Yes today am gonna ride my FZ after a long time to hit a F5. Still few things needs to be fixed in the bike but FZ glanced at me saying he could take it with ease. With All set -i started and met up Nishant in our usual meeting point and started towards Tamabaram to catch up with Sajish (Lazy Rider). We tried to wait for him near the Bridge but the traffic at early hours didnt allow us to wait - so we messaged him that we are heading to CTC after filling fuel and asked him to meet there itself. Sriram, Ananth, Avinash, Rishi, vivek were reached CTC by the time we reached. Soon Sajish joined in. Catch-up with each other and few intro's of the newbies were done. While others went across the road for some tea me and Nishant took gaurd on the gears. Saw a Yellow helmet and an Orange FZ coming towards us - you know who is that - Jaffer :-) and we all were getting ready to leave thats when our Whizzkid arrived. With the next meet point near the Motel Highway were Yuvi and Aargee would be waiting, we started our ride.

On the Highway we meet up with Aargee and were waiting for Yuvi - as we were waiting, we tried to look into Sriram bike's weird problem - he wasn't feeling good to ride but urges him to ride for some more distance to see whether it gets fixed itself - like it happened in our Ooty ride the problem vanished on its own. We reached Saravana Bhavan and had breakfast. As usual we were the talk of Kanchi in the morning and we were getting the glances :-) After another round of instructions to the newbies and some photos and chitchats we started our ride to the next halt a small hill which Ram mentioned and he took the lead from here. The Roads were filled with Potholes or i could say potholes were filled with roads at places :-) somehow we managed we reached the so called hill - it was very steep we somehow managed to cross it safely under the foul smell from the sugar factory nearby :-). once we climbed down the hill we parked our bikes near a old mandap kind which was interesting for some photos and we started our ride back uphill to cross over to our route to chengalpattu. We took some customary pics on the hill and headed towards the next stop is at a Small Offroad section which would give a exciting view of the kolavai Lake.

Once we reached the Place - the 250's gave a thought on the decision of off-roading and decided to do it - which was indeed their right choice. The view was awesome from the top and the weather added on to that was cool and the winds gave us a fantastic time to have some chat and discuss about next ride plans. Soon the time flew away and we started our ride back home. I was doing the sweep, so was at the end, near the S.P koil junction the traffic police stopped Rishi (who was ahead of me) and me. Asked to come to the side, seeing all our ridings gears the constable was rubbhishing that we are racing and stuff - also said that some 4 - 6 bikes went ahead he missed to catch - but managed to catch to his senior officer. The Recent Racing incidents and last weeks accidents has put the axe on the tourers like us - and senior officer too was saying that he got some orders to control that and asked us our License and i was explaining him that we were regular tourers and we were returning back from chengalpattu today. Showed him the photos we took and somehow he was convinced enough and let us go :-). Some 25 kms later i reached home with a relaxed and chilled mind.

100% I don't know how you noticed; hadn't you noticed it, we would've certainly paid more than fine for the kind of speeds we did on those empty stretches; been there several...several times, this is the first time I'm seeing a speed check. What made you to slow down anyway?
