Yes, but the comment came from you!!! Anyway, I leave that to individual's choices because, I'm more than confident it is possible to do Trivandrum-Chennai on a single day. Start like 5:00 in the morning & one can reach Chennai by 8:00 PM max.

Ok, I had put it up after discussing with a couple of people (Like Sriram, Nishant) who had mentioned they would prefer staying in Trichy than Riding all the way till Chennai the same day (From Kanyakumari) - If i am starting on Day 4 Early Morning (say 3 / 4 AM) then you can tag along for sure.

Emergency? What emergency? Didn't it strike to you guys that, we're not strangers & we ride as one group? Do we need to lookup the sheet to find out the blood group; give a thought seriously guys

When we ride as a group it COULD be handy during emergency(UNPLANNED) to have the blood group noted instead of trying to re-collect or remember the other person's blood group.
Also I believe it is the same reason why we have our blood groups mentioned in our license, so if you want to take it from there its upto the group and the ride initiaters

Will print it out and handover the sheet to every one before we start the ride.

Its an excel file with all the data - Your information is one among the 10 rows of data - Its easier to take 10 printouts and handover one copy to every one. We dont know when the information would be needed. Easier to fold and keep it along in the pockets

Each should have the spread sheet as it contains contact numbers. It is always better to have the contact numbers in hard copy.

I'm not sure if you had gone through the discussions earlier. It is known that we need to do 700kms approx return home. The plan is to visit few more places and trying to ascertain the possibility of extending by half day i.e reach Trichy on Day 4 and start to chennai early AM on Day 5 so all can attend office. You can leave on day 4 home if you want. Again, extending the day 5(ride back home) shall take call then.

I guess we have talk about the ride for some few months now, and you still want to drag your decision to join till the last moment is very interesting..

@Aargee/Ananth:- Too many routes, too many pointers and it is all greek and latin. Lets ride to Tenkasi and decide which way..

Kuttralam Ride Pointers:-

I've charted some points for the benefit of newbies and others to ensure if the below has been taken looked into.

For the Machine
1. Kindly get your vehicle checked/Serviced.
2. Check the oil age and change if needed.
3. Spare cables - clutch accelorator is advised.
4. Check Chain sprocket and tyres
5. Compact tool kit is must.
6. Spare headlamp and spark plug
7. Puncture kit (anyone) / spare Tube
8. Copy of vehicle papers - RC, Insurance, License

A small tip from your well wisher,
Along with what you've mentioned,take atleast a pair of cutting plier and star(Philips) screw driver for the whole group ... And check all of your ride has spare FUSE in the fuse holder..
