@Ananth - Thanks for coming up with the route and Itenary suggestions but i would say
1. Option 2 - is good and much more relaxed - you get to see most places local.
2. Option 3 - will a good round trip - but how to split that up is a question?

Option 2 - yes we cover all often TN only

But if we don't get permits to manimuthar dam - we ll see only papanasam and may be manjolai (again Prrmits issue) and would hit kanyakumari

Option 3 - split up is all in our hands

Day 1 - already known

Day 2 - kuttralam - thenmala - varkala - Kollam - alappuzha

Day 3 - alappuzha - thekkady

Day 4 - thekkady - dindigul - chennai

This is even more relaxed and more of KL than TN

I'm open to all - I will go with what the group wants to visit

P.S: barring kanyakumari - I havent seen anything with option 2

But option 1 and 3 is already visited.. So I will be in a better position to provide info about those places. I have not much knowledge / info about places in and around tirunelveli district

I would suggest we take printouts, as it has vital info like emergency contact, and I think 'blood group' would be an equally important information to be collected before starting the ride. Just my thought.

I agree, but, why publicize here; that could be part of the Google doco & part of the Blood Donation thread for a noble cause.

My 2 cents (if the damn people give back my CBR on time)...
EDIT - Will go with Option 1, but prefer Veli/Shangumugham beach instead of Kovalam; and add Vattakottai from Kanyakumari
Day 4 - return to Chennai by evening.

Why I don't prefer Option 2 is, there's nothing in Kanyakumari + it stinks during Sunrise.

Another suggestion - If we're able to make to Kanyakumari on day 2 (probably for Sunset/Sunrise), we can get to Trivandrum, visit Shangumugham beach (instead of Kovalam) & spend the evening at scenic Veli village and spend sometime with TVM XBhpians.

well pointed Ganesh, It would be useful and handy to have emergency no and blood group in the excel sheet printout we carry along, cos afterall this is for emergency purpose. So it makes sense to add in the docs before taking printout, and whoever is taking the printouts..pls donot forget to add this or maybe Ananth can create one more doc, and we all can re-submit

No Problem with than - I'm manually updating the sheet.

Will print it out and handover the sheet to every one before we start the ride.

Ok, Thanks for the inputs. Veli / Shanmugham beach does sound good - But - If we do : Tenkasi - Papanasam - Kalakkad - Kanyakumari (on Day 2)

Saar - The intent behind getting the blood group is not really for a Noble cause but to tackle emergency situation.

Plus, Donation or not - Depends on individual - I may post my blood group details here - But would not wish to post in the other thread due to personal / medical / any other reasons. It all boils down to individual interest.

And, Since it is just for 10 members - It is easier to add values manually in Document (already created) than to start things afresh.

Emergency? What emergency? Didn't it strike to you guys that, we're not strangers & we ride as one group? Do we need to lookup the sheet to find out the blood group; give a thought seriously guys Anyway, add another O+ & I'm qualified to donate as well.

But - If we do : Tenkasi - Papanasam - Kalakkad - Kanyakumari (on Day 2)
Day 3 : Kanyakumari - Trivandrum
Day 4: Trivandrum - Chennai is "Tooo" much of a Push

AND

Day 2: Kutralam Falls - Shengottai - Thenmala (Dam) - Ponmudi (Hill Station) - Trivandrum - Kovalam : 160 Kms

Day 3: Kovalam - Kanyakumari :80 Kilometers

Day 4: Kanyakumari - Thirunelveli - Madurai - Trichy (Stay in Trichy & Start to Chennai early Morning) or Push off till Chennai the same day (Depends on Riders Commitment) : 700 Kms

Its not about me: Its about the group. We have FZs & Bullet Classic & ZMAs - I dont know how easy or how hard will it be for them to ride 750 kilometers in one go.

Plus, As mentioned before - I will be leaving the third night or very early fourth morning to make it to office by 2 PM.

Yes, but the comment came from you!!! Anyway, I leave that to individual's choices because, I'm more than confident it is possible to do Trivandrum-Chennai on a single day. Start like 5:00 in the morning & one can reach Chennai by 8:00 PM max.

I will be leaving the third night or very early fourth morning to make it to office by 2 PM.

Like I said before, if you're on 4th morning, I hope to tag along with you
