24-hour coffee shops at The Radha Park Inn, The Park , The Raintree, Le Royal Merdien and GRT Grand
24 hour coffee shops / restaurants are present in these Hotels: Residency Towers, Residency ( GN Chetty Road), Ambassador Pallava ( Egmore), Vestin Park ( Egmore, okay food / coffee at night ), Taj Club house in Mount Road, Taj Coromandel / Connemara.... most of the big hotels have 24 hour coffee shops...

Don't think Raintree has a coffee shop, 3 months back they didn't have a 24 hours coffee shop ( Both in RA Puram / Anna Salai)

Barista in Nungambakkam (Opp. to Isphani center is open till 2 -2.30am to my knowledge)

GRT Coffee shop – Midnight Combo for Rs 150 - I think it's Rs. 250 + Taxes and not 150
Saturday night you might get buffet at some of the hotels before midnight in Residency Towers, GRT, etc.

              • Since this is going to be the honey moon ride for most of us newbies I would like few points to be jotted down here like:

                - Fuel stops(keeping in mind the 300km range)
                - The roles and resposibilities as an individual /lead/ sweep
                - SPOC for carrying the puncture kit, foot pump and other essentials in each group
                - Order needs to maintained
Thats all I can think of please add if I have missed out anything.
I understand that most of the things are already covered, few things goes without saying and rest will be covered in the forth coming meet on 27 oct 9:30 pm at barista, but it would come handy for future reference if its also posted on this thread.

Unless you've a TN registered vehicle, it's crystal clear, straight forward simple route

Rishi, keep in mind that there will be 30-50km stretches where you may not find even a single working petrol pump, therefore, I would advise you to fill up Duke's tank when you have ridden about 250-275 kms. I got 42 - 45 kmpl during my last highway ride and we were climbing hills and carving curves etc.. so the mileage dropped too about 28 - 32kmpl as well. However, knowing your riding style and your Duke a am sure you'll get about 50kmpl ... just thought I'll share my views, given that I was searching for a petrol pump for 40kms once on the highway

                        Honey Moon Ride? Seriously??

                        Fuel Stops:

                        1) Chennai - Home
                        2) Shoolagiri - HP / BPCL
                        3) Neelamangla (After exiting NICE) or at Hassan

You still have many company outlets on Bangalore - Hassan road. So, I dont think it is going to be a issue. Top up every 250 kilometers just incase.

I don't think this an issue at all - remember, there are bikes on this trip which have only 16- 25 kmpl range. I have never yet run out of fuel. Don't worry about these things and focus on enjoying the experience.
