The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread

Date: 16-May-10, Sunday
Time: Leave at 05.30 am sharp.
Meeting point: Arch at Rajarajeshwari Nagar entrance, Mysore Road
Trip Details: Ride down to Cafe Coffee Day, Maddur (located on Mysore Road, SH17) & back
Distance: Approximately 75km one-way from meeting point above

@All: Please ensure you are carrying all necessary documents (photocopies would do) of your bike, including road tax certificate, insurance papers, emission certificate, and RC book

PS: As mav1234 suggested, the ride will not be canceled for reason of lack of participants.

Just intimating all of you who will be joining in the G2G tomorrow to be aware of the below ( Same as what Sunny Sir has depicted for the Delhi G2G ( Sunny Sir.. sorry to copy your post.. but i think this is essential) ) .


Gathering Time : ~5.30 AM

Gathering Venue: Arch at RajaRajeshawari Nagar

Departure Time: ~ 6 AM

Departure to : Maddur CCD on the Mysore Road. Please DO NOT ask us direct directions or details about the Place. We all will lead and wont entertain any such individual requests via PM or phone. So please come to the Spot as early as possible. We will depart at ~ 6 AM sharp and wont wait for anyone.

Group System: To be more manageable on road the following is to be observed very strictly:

• Speed not to exceed 60-70kmph.( Since its a Highway)

• Proper distance to be maintained,

• No overtaking

• No Stunts. No Nonsense Stuff.

• All riders should have helmets, gloves and riding gear would be excellent

• No underage riders (under 18).

• Everyone should have their papers in order.

• Disclaimer: By attending and riding in this meet you agree to be liable and responsible for any damage caused to you by accident or damage caused by you to anyone else. xBhp will not be responsible in any which way.

• You must understand that xBhp promotes Safe Riding and best practices on road, and this is a meet to enable that

• You are most welcome to bring your better halves (if at all you have )


Contributions from everyone required

Contribution 1: Everyone coming should be contributing in some way to make this meet better for everyone else. If its possible everybody can bring some eatables with them to the place .Everything will be placed at a common place( possibly in the CCD if they permit) for everyone to enjoy. You can bring soft drinks, mineral water, chips, biscuits. Keep all these things with you until we reach CCD.

If you don’t bring anything to the dhabha in the morning it is fine, but it will good for the community spirit.

Contribution 2 : Also please everyone a favour and leave your personal differences and attitude at home. If you don’t like anyone’s behaviour, don’t blame it on xBhp, it’s your interpersonal skills at test and xBhp is not a school, and since you are 18+ take care of it with maturity on your own.

Contribution 3 : Besides getting stuff to eat we also want everyone to contribute by maintaining their proper speed and line on the road. We won’t babysit anyone about road etiquettes, anyone doing something like this will be asked to leave.

Lets make this ride a grand and successful one.

Nice to know the speed limit or i would have been way behind thanks to the 4k revv limiter.

P.S. Its raining like there's no tomorrow. Wish it stops and the roads dry up.

Ride to Maddur - 16-May-10

Contrary to our worst fears, the rain Gods did not play spoilsport and we went ahead with the g2g after quite a long time.
It was a successful and incident free ride to Maddur, and back to nammu Bengaluru.
We left at about 6.15 am from the meeting point on Mysore Road, and returned by around 1.30 pm.

Was great to meet you all and will look forward to more G2G's. I had a blast meetin u all.

Had to stick b/w 40 and 60kmph and it was so damn boring. Painful physically too.

Finally 800kms done. Irony was that the 800km mark was reached at town-hall. But did revv to 6k on some open roads and it was sheer bliss. Superb acceleration. Cant imagine how its gonna be shiftin at 13k RPM.

So pumped up now that I'm goin for another ride in some time.
