I have posted this earlier too but did not get clear answers. Please help me out on this.

      continuation of the route >>>

Devanhalli to Hoskote is a decent, relatively traffic free road. Hoskote to Hosur via Chikka Tirupati and Sarjapur is also in a similar condition but more traffic than the first bit owing to the trucks avoiding bangalore on their way down south from east. Not advisable after 9PM and before 4AM because the place gets very lonely.
One motorcycle raced another on public streets.
      The ambulance won.

Long time man. You're only to be seen online.

We also took a group pic, but that's in Haroon Bhai & srisetty's camera.

              • It was a refreshing GTG to start the new year 2011. Here are all the photos I had clicked. It was very nice to meet some xbhpians after a long time.

Thanks to Haroon for giving us a chance to meet the BMW and sharing his stories of Saudi. With so many people staring at that bike, it is definitely a UFO. I remember that BMW car owner puzzled by looking at the bike .

And Rossi's exhaust is simply mind blowing. It was nice to meet you and welcome back.

All the best to strider and lets meet after you are back with an iron b#$$

                    • New year ride!

I am heading out to the Western coastline this Friday(Jan 7th) and be back by Monday (Jan 10th). My tentative itinerary is as follows:

Friday: Bangalore Karwar via NH4-Haveri-Sirsi-Karwar. Stay in Karwar.
Satuday: Roam around Gokarana and Jog falls. Stay in Karwar.
Sunday: Roam around Goa and maybe Tarkarli. Stay in Karwar or Tarkarli
                      Monday: Head back to Bangalore.

I am planning this solo, but riders are welcome to join. I will be on Ninja 250R so need riders on fast bikes, Apache, P220, R15, ZMA, C500 and above - also keep in mind that I like to ride long and fast without many breaks, so you need to keep up with me!

                      Let me know!

Haroon Bhai is using a temporary import permit called the ATA Carnet. It allows the owner of the bike to ride it in another country for the specficied period.

That's a nice route. I did the exact route about a year ago. I did the Bankapur-Mundgod-Sirsi route though.. fantastic route taking you through superb forests and a huge Buddhist monastery called Doeguling.

Ride report and pics are here : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/9...09-pt-1-a.html

Good luck with your ride, wish I could join but work beckons in the new year

Thank you for the tip! Actually my route is the same as yours because I remembered you mentioning a better route to someone else in the forum a almost a year ago -so I looked up your posts for details of the route! I will read through the waterfall ride log later today after work.

I just got smacked with a few deadlines for early next week at work after my earlier post so I guess I will have to work extra hours in the next three days!

Don't mention it man Well if it helps you a little more, have a look at the GPS tracks for the route I took. And I would highly recommend you to stay in the same homestay close to the Jog Falls. Wonderful place, and superb hosts.
