  • Hey,
Route A - What you have in mind is a good alternative.

But if you are planning to reach Bengaluru early in the morning or late in night, (Route B) you can travel up to Hebbal -> Outer ring road -> Silk board junction -> Hosur road as well.
Otherwise strictly avoid route B n go ahead with route A.
On route A, stretch from Sarjapur to Bagalur is good, guaranteed.

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

Is it a good idea to take NH207 at Devanahalli and go via Hoskote, Chikka Tirupati and Bagalur to Hosur to rejoin NH7? Need to know real time road and traffic condition. Can any1 help ???

      Cheers.

i would suggest take route A and plan to reach bangalore by early morning before 7, you should be good on weekends with not much traffic..

        Appreciate the reply guys.

The thing is i don't have to enter Bangalore at all. I need to get to Hosur and then off to Krishnagiri. I cannot afford to get stuck in traffic and hence this route. Please help out.

you can take this road then, this wont touch bangalore but will take you to hosur.

hyd--anantpur--devanahalli(45-50 kms before bangalore)--take a left for hoskote--check with the locals for a road to hosur (this is NH 207 which will take you to hosur)

          hope this helps..

          • ^^I dont think u wud be able to save much time, takin the alternate route via devanahalli. At the max, u wud save about 20-30 mins, and take that route only if u r familiar.

              • If i have to compare the routes,
Devanahalli->Hoskote = Devanahalli->Hebbal (Takes equal time, n actually, reaching hebbal might be faster).
Hoskote->Chikka Tirupati = Hebbal->Silk board (Via ORR, might tak slightly more time, if entering in peak hours, but would compensate with the time saved in first point).
Chikka tirupati -> bagalur = silkboard -> Electronic city or may be even a lil beyond.

So u tell me, whr would u save time, n is it worth all the hassle of travelling in unknown route?

                • I am off on 30th and 31st of Dec (Thursday/Friday) with the weekend's also being off.

Want to do a nice long ride as its been a while. Anyone wants to join? Please let me know. We can plan the destination and also decide if its gonna be an overnighter or just a day trip.

I am keen on riding to Ooty again but accommodation wont be available as per my guess.

Just checked with at least 6 hotels and no accommodation available for us in Ooty. Bluevolt is checking for vacancies but as of now the Ooty plan stands cancelled

Can u please check and let me know if something is available in ooty?

                      Thanks.

                      • Since I couldnt find a place to stay in Ooty, i checked for vacancies in Coorg and found rooms available at The Nest. Have stayed here previously and loved it.

Please confirm how many are in for a ride and overnight stay in Coorg.

Rooms are only available on 30th Dec (Thursday).

Distance is around 300 kms one way. Accommodation including all meals will cost 3k per couple (1.5k per head).

                            • Met an XBHPian riding a Yamaha FZ on Hosur Road Signal today. He was wearing a stunning DOT helmet which attracted me and made me speak, and came to know he is member of XBHP. He said that he bought it near JC Road for 8K and said his id is Anil/Sunil... Dude, whoever you are, your helmet is too good and lets hope to meet some time.
