  • from the pics - GS is HUGE !!!!
Haroon bhai waiting for the pics from your trip down south on the GS

Guess everybody had fun on this G2G . In the line up, GS simply is HUGE , R1 everything else looks puny when parked right next to it.

Guess riding GS should give one the feeling he is "KING OF THE ROAD" on a bike that is wider, taller and stronger ... (reminds me of Horlicks...)

@ Haroon- Any plans to heading to Mysore It will an amazing ride for you but a small one on the GS just 140 kms one way ... Hope you had an amazing experience riding GS in India (lets forget the bent rim at the beginning last Sep/Aug ) and everything went smoothly as per plan.

    • A mighty thanks from the bottom of my heart to all of you for making it to the ride and glad you all liked my huge UFO. Missed earlier occasions of meeting Akhil so it was nice to meet you finally. Special thanks to Ajay for putting together the G2G.

Infact being the last few days of my GS' memorable stay in India, I was feeling a lil senti & low that she will soon be going back for good, but bringing my red-ruby amongst all of you just lighted up my day(probably hers also!) and although it was a small ride, I enjoyed every moment of it. My son enjoyed it even better coz when my wife asked him, his answer was - Just awesome.

I rode out at 6:00am today and arrived in cochin aboard my GS after enjoying my last ride on indian soil (on this trip ofcourse). Tomorrow, she gets tied down/crated and will soon be on a container heading back to Jeddah. Although I am happy that she will join me there, I am greatly going to miss the wonderful time she gave me, my wife & my biking friends in India.

      Cheers & ride safe

Indeed it feels like a king. Just glides on the road with a huge road presence.

Sorry Roshan. Although I wanted to do the cochin ride thru Mysore-Wyanad-calicut, being short on time I had to rush thru the coimbatore route. Maybe sometime in future brother.

Big thanks to Ajay for coordinating the meet and making it happen. Special mention of Harshit who displayed pure biker spirit.... he went all the way to McD on Mysore road and when he learnt that we were in the other corner of Blore (Tumkur road) he didnt hesitate to join us albeit a bit late. Nevertheless, hats off to his spirit and it was fun meeting you all.

Loved the roar of the stealth R1 and the purr of Ajay's lady as well.

All that matters is that you both had a great time on this trip ... I would say you missed an amazing route

I am sure there will be more to come in future as people who own bikes like GS aren't gonna settle down soon with one ride in a country like India becoz roads just keep calling ....

Anyhow eagerly waiting for your ride pics... May the GS head back home all safe , Wish you the same buddy ...Enjoy your flight , Catch u some other time

Hey Thanks a ton for that

I actually wanted to ride for long and got that and seeing the roads all the way the ride was actually fun rather than tiring..

I managed to complete those 200 in almost 2.5hrs

And at the end of the day All was just simply put worth it!!!

                    • Ride to beach!!

Hey people I'm planning to ride to Mangalore this month end including 2 nights stay there.

This is my plan as of now...

                      29th Jan (Sat)

Start off at early morning from Bangalore and reach Mangalore by evening (at the most).
                      Night stay(1).

                      30th Jan (Sun)

Visit the local places, beaches, etc. and spend the day.
                      Night Stay (2)

                      31st Jan (Mon)
Head back to Bangalore early morning and be home by evening.

I guess the distance one side should be betweek 350-375km.

I'm checking out for the accommodation as well so in a couple of days would be able to give out the details for those as well.

In case anyone interested to ride along or provide some better suggestions, please let me know.

                      Cheers,
                      Harshit.

Hey nice plan.. which route are you planning to take because the Madikeri -Sulia route is closed due to road rework. So now the route is a detour from madikeri which I dont have much idea about. So the next best alternative is through the Shiradi Ghat which after Sakleshpur has about 30-40 kms of horrible road. So need to take a call. Rest of the stretch on the Sakleshpur route manageable.

Take a call on which route you wanna take... Both have its plus and minus.

One more route is through Sringeri which I havent gone but would like to do that stretch . I have done Sringeri and back to Mysore through the Kudremukh route which is Heavenly to be honest. Enquire regrading all routes possible and choose the best

Thanks for the info but just want to know why would one take the madikeri route for going to mangalore? I think the best route would be going via Tumkur. The expressway on which I rode a few days back is pretty decent.

This is the route i'm planning to take for my trip.
