            • Bangalore to Munnar Road trip

I am planning for a road trip in my Bullet Electra from Bangalore to Munnar on 3rd week of August.

We have booked a resort for couple of days at Chinnakanal in Munnar which is nearer to Bodi

Looking for some tips on planning this trip.

              1) Best route to be taken, Travel time needed

              2) Spare parts and tools to be carried etc

                      • Need suggestion to a rookie for hilly area ride Ooty/Chikmagalur. My tour depends on your feedback.

First thing first, Mods please move this thread to appropriate forum if possible.

I have been riding for 3 years mainly for office commute in bangalore, have no experience in hill climbing. I could not make my new bike (RTR 200) climb to nandi hill 1 month back. one friend helped me there(actually rode to up ). I stalled my bike several times.

I searched google, XBHP for newbie tips for hilly area and could not find much info(though I got info of car driving in hilly area on Team-BHP , hand break ,break-accelerator by same foot and other and got some idea for bike too but still I am not sure).

I have read almost all travelogue and mostly all of them are written by experts/experienced, so no mention of difficulties faced by new riders.

I am planning for bike trip to Ooty or Chikmagalur with friends(3 bikes). according to road map ooty seems difficult to me so I am eyeing Chikmagalur .

Could you please suggest which would be easy for rookie like me - Ooty/Chikmagalur .
Please suggest any riding tips for such area.
Is it possible for newbie to visit Chikmagalur on bike.(have completed 280 KM trip in one day alone on straight highway
                        )
what areas to avoid in monsoon if I am visiting
                        Chikmagalur .

I wanted to participate this year's XBhp meet happening in Ooty, but did not as I am very new and would upset many in group.

My bike trip depends on your suggestions and encouragement .

                        Thanks in advance .

                        Cheers!

                          Hi folks,
I have a copy of an SJCam that I intend on using to start some Moto VLogging in Bangalore. Could anyone suggest any stores in Bangalore from where I could procure some good quality sticky mounts without having to lose too much cash? :P
(I have also posted this in the Riding Gear Thread, but since more riders from B'lore are likely to visit this thread, I've posted this here as well to ensure I get some good response to this query.)

What do you mean by stick mount. Sorry for noob question.
If this is a accessory for the action camera then you need to get these online. I could not find any shop that sells anything even closely related to an action cam.

Sticky mounts are those which come with adhesives to stick them to various surfaces such as helmets and various parts of the bike.

Ebay would be your cheapest option. Or dx.com
