If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

          • Hi guys... What do you guys think about a shop for biking apparels near Kollam or Alleppey? Not the big brands.. I mean DSG, Cramster? Helmets like Cross. LS2, Vega, Studds, etc.
            Is there any scope?
Anybody here use Orazo riding boots? if so how is it? The price is much affordable for a middle class.. right?

No offence brother, but those boots are not great looking! If you worried about the price go for Cramster riding boot. I think it comes in 5k.

Buddy.. its not about the offence... coz I like to start one near Kollam or Alleppy.. i think the only shop we have is is Auto queen Cochin. You know he didn't know about DSG or Cramster 3 years back when i asked him about these brands. Only a biker understands the needs of a biker. Right?
I want to know about how much support i will get for this project from xbhp members?

I am sure you will get the right support from anyone in Xbhp. But dont post it here. start a new thread for this or shift this topic to riding gear thread.

And the most important thing is you will have to see how many riders can you rely on for this. As far as I think not many from our side give a damn about safety. There would only be very few like us who knows and understands the purpose of it.

So I think you will have to do a lot of research on this.

                      • @ezy rider...
on the negative side, AQ in cohin has already ramped us its inventory with riding gear from both Cramster and DSG, and plenty of diff helmet brands. Amba in TVM is opening a new shop which, as per its owner, is exclusively for riding gear.

But on the positive side, there are more and more youngsters resorting to helmets and jackets these days. Earlier it was nearly impossible to see a 1k+ helmet on the road. But these days, I see lot of guys (most of who are rash, never mind) spotting LS2s and Cross which cost upward of 3k.

You'll have the support from us xbhpians in you venture if you start one. You can even get help from other xbhpians... though I forgot who it was, there is one guy who was mentioning in the Riding gear thread that he makes saddle bags, especially meant for indian bikes, and was looking to start a business, sort of part time, and less costlier than the branded ones...

                        All the best bro...

Thanks Lijo. Yes i know. AQ is now a hub for bikers in kerala for riding gears. But you know, back in 2005, i was getting mad in search for a good helmet shop and riding gears. At that time even Sabu chettan didn't know about these brands like DSG or Cramster when i asked about him. You know 5K jackets and 5K boots are not affordable for a middle class guy, i mean for a student. Even i am earning myself and dont ask for my dad's money, but if he see me buying a DSG Nero jacket, Cramster glove and a 5K helmet. Damn sure he will fire me out. The thing is.. in their opinion that is much extravagant. (i think its just my dad's opinion). So we have to think about alternate brands with much lower price.
Anyway this is not a riding gear thread, but just want to know the kerala biker's opinion. that is all. Take care guys. Ride Safe.
                          Anyway
