        Road is just fantastic till Moolamattom. Only bad portions are Thripunithura, Thiruvankulam and Mvtpa towns I think. Past Mltm, its steep mountain road with some of the tightest bends I ve seen. U will love it.

          Hope I should ask one simple question....
          Why dont the cochin guys come to Ettumanoor and join the TVM gang....
          As Milan asked, otherwise it ll be useless.... Just my opinion....
          started riding a motorized cycle on a chetak classic.
          Learned to accelerate on Y RX100&135.
          Learned not to fall down, the patience to heal wound on knee and to ride long on a classic Pulsar 150(still running)&180.....
          Planning for more dream destinations on a new ZMR

            Chetta can u giv the route u suggestd..? R u saying they take MC road to Etmnr, then reach Wagamon via Eratupetta..? I think that will be too valanja vazhi..isn't it..?

              Dear TVM gang....MC road is awesome till Chengannur.... Hope you agree with that.... But I think the segment between KOttayam and Changanachery is worse... Lijo does know it well, I think (The worst stretch in MC road is Chengannur-Muvatupuzha AFAIK)
              So I have a suggestion.... Take MC Road till thiruvalla....
              Then, Thiruvalla>Nalukdoy>Thengana>Puthuppally>Manarcaud>Kidangoor.... Total 40 Kms for this stretch.... The typical Changanassery-kottayam strtch is 46 or 50 kms+bad roads+worse traffic......
              Again my suggestion, thats all....Hope Milan knows this route as he is a Chengannur native....

                we have to travel almost 70% extra that route I suggest to stick to our present route via mvtpa
                Before that we need to know who all are starting from cochin

                  BTW not via Erattupetta... Straight to Muttom from Pala....
                  Yeah, it s touching nose that way..... Just a suggestion.... To feel what we have in group rides....
                  For me this ride to Vagamon is a business of 30 kms.... But still, I may join the TVM gang at Adoor to ride with them..... Crazyness or passion of group riding, I dont know how people ll frame it...

                    Is it? I took that route during May 2011 all way from MVPA to TVM & I didn't find any issues like big potholes; but its better than KL roads

                    MVPA-Kottayam is good; unless one is good at twisties, cannot keep the time under 2 hours
                    Kottayam-Adoor (IIRC) was also good, just that, the drive was shaky due to roads, but not potholes.Then all way upto Kollam, there were some bad stretches at certain places.

                      I understand all the places,but still some doubt remains! Can you state the exact route that you had in mind?

                        If I make this ride, it will be my first ever group ride (xcept a few short rides with classmates). So, if u join them @ Adoor, then I must join others @ Cochin itself..

                          What I had in mind earlier was to meet up at Changanasherry and then follow KK road and then deviate from either Mundakayam or Kuttikanam.166km from Cochin and 215km from TVM.But the roads will be PERFECT except for the 15min from Chengannur to Changanasherry!Just a suggestion!

                          From TVM: TVM>Kottarakara>Chengannur>Changanasherry>Kuttikanam/Mundakayam>Vagamon=>215km

                          From Cochin:Cochin>Cherthala>Alleppy>Changanasherry>Kuttikanam/Mundakayam>Vagamon=>166km

                          The tarmac would be perfect and we will get to ride together!It will be more fun IMO!

                                Why not you guys take Kochi-Tripunitura-Kolenchery-MVPA-TDPA-Moolamattom-Vagamon? Wouldn't that be the shortest route
