Yups you'll get similar rains this time too. I just did it last week and, infact, we got rains going and coming - all the way from Mumbai to Igatpuri to Ghoti to Shendi and back!!!

Guys look @ the rains !! ..... Its pouring here in Mumbai past three days or more .... I saw Zee 24 Taas (marathi news channel) reporting landslides in Amboli Ghat and road blocks in many areas of Sindhudurg & Thane Districts !! .... I hope the rains subside by tonight and road to bhandardara is fine .... fingers crossed !

1 more query .......... I saw google map and found out that there is a direct road to bhandardara from shahpur ..... any idea why the mumbai gang is not opting for it and instead going thru ghoti ?

Because the ghoti road is a straight clean, scenic NH3 road and therefore much faster. Even the locals at shahpur recommended we head for ghoti instead of taking the "direct road" through shahpur when I was there recently.

Sorry for being late to confirm/post here. But since I was not well for almost 2.5 weeks now, I wanted to make sure if I am really fit enough to ride on 1st or not. That's why didn't post anything till now. Some of the members here are aware of my health condition.

Now that I feel am fit enough to ride tomorrow there's a different sort of problem. I wanted to buy a pair of knee guards from AH since long time. But as I was not well, couldn't go there and get one. In fact I had called him a couple of times that I'll come there that particular day but everyone knows how it's raining in Mumbai. I didn't want to take chance with health again hence kept postponing it.

Anyways, so the bottom line is I still am w/o the knee guards. Had decided to go there today but it's raining like hell here in Dadar. If the rains continue the same way then I don't think I'll be able to go and buy the knee guards.

That means either I'll have to miss my first friendship day meet with xBhpians or ride against the safety rules on my own risk i.e w/o the knee guards :| That's why still confused.

Most probably am out of this ride unless I manage to go and get the knee guards or someone has an extra knee+elbow guards set.

Have fun guys! Ride safe as it's raining pretty bad + plus you'll be leaving early morning so lot of fog. Take care of your electronics and Happy Friendship Day to everyone in advance!

2. Some staff will also be in the car
3. It would be extremely late by the time my work gets over and there is no chance for me to wake up on time.
4. So it is better that I head back to Pune and then sleep off.

I don't have extra kneepads! Would have offered them if I had! Even Motor has a problem with kneepads so I was telling him on FB was that he could borrow them from Spidey since Spidey cannot not make it.
