Good see reply on this thread. Honda Shine is good in style, milage in 125cc, with some limitations.

Problems
Prob 1 :We cannot shift gears smoothly.

2. There was no chance to go over 90kmph

3.Recently I changed chains pocket they call it as. Complete chain set I think. Still I am getting chain sound.

4. The other problem is that acid leak from the battery ruins the look of covers near engine. Find the attached photo of the same.

Advantages

1. Good grip. Even though the road is slippery, we can ride shine confortably.
2. My bike model is Oct 2008.Strong parts.
3. Milage I observed now is 55 on hyd roads.(i.e after 3 years)
4. Stylish

Chain noise is due to lack of lubrication,Lube the chain with SAE90 Grade oil or Bearing grease,it will reduce the chain noise.

Isn't there a tube? A long tube for overflow to drain out? Check it.

Like this.

Recently 10 days back bike was serviced, in front of me only it was greased. Also I asked to tight the chain.

I will try lubricating the chain.

Sound arises when gear shift, near speed brakers, glitches. Not continuosly.

I changed Chain Sprocket 5 months back, break shoe 2 months back. I use only honda engine oil till date.

Price for chain sprocket was somewhere around Rs1500

Also can any one throw light on where we can find good petrol in Hyderabad.

I visited different Honda show rooms for service. Autofin, Himayath Nagar was worst of all. If you want to spoil your bike you need to give it to Himayath Nagar Autofin.

Aadi honda was also not good. Malakpet, Hyderabad.

Let me know if there is any good service center in hyd. I don't understand why Honda is not looking in to this.

There should be a slack of 15-20mm after tighting the chain,an over tight chainwill make sounds and will make the sprocket wear out faster, make sure about that.

Make sure that the chain is not rubbing against the chain guard or something.

Mileage of only 55kmpl? I get that on my Unicorn! With a 125cc engine, u must get better mileage, at least 65kmpl, else its not worth it! Either that, or u must be a very harsh rider.

Besides, the chain+sprocket set for my unicorn was only about 1100 or so. R u sure of 1500 for urs?
