Congratulations to all the owners of the FZ16.

Just needed to know 1 more thing about it..... is no 1 bothered about that godaweful looking number plate on the head? is there any way to put it someplace else? ppl hav suggested removing it from the top completely and getting the reg number painted on the tip of the front mudguard. any other ideas? is there no other place for putting it up?

Hey Mithun, FZ is simply awesome in handling & power delivery. I have not checked the mileage but other fz owners are reporting 45 km/L with speed kept under 50kmph. The best part of the bike is not its looks but the engine, so smooth yet powerful. It may not be a power house of torque but good enough for city riding. Riding this bike in city is a pleasure. Handling and seating feels like you are riding some cruiser

hi all!
it just three week since i got my beast in priviously filled tank of rs 500 it give the mialage of 36+ Though i don't know it reserve tank capacity so i thought it'll give me avarage of 36 before first service but today i got reserve again with the petrol of rs 100(means 1.92 normal one) and trip meter shows me the reading of 83 km in that petrol so according to that its 40+ kmpl avarage i'm very happy regarding this mielage and hoping to increase in avarage after first service chears...!!!

Thumbs up Got My black Fz16

Inspite of all this hype created I got my FZ16 without waiting for a day.
Although I have been checking about the Bike's specs, reviews from quite a long time since its launch I went to the Shiva Yamaha in East Delhi and told him that I want the bike today that's on the eve of Dhanteras and I got it. I was going for Pulsar 180 (Decision taken under parent's peer pressure coz the pillion seat is too small for Mom's occassional ride and anti-yamaha stance of Papa) till the last minute when due to the poor customer handlings and negligence towards customers I went to Yamaha's Showroom (Material possessions are not bigger than the owners themselves) one more thing that led my Father to go to Yamaha was that the owner of Rajiv Raj himself went on to praise Yamaha in terms of quality and technology and said go for Bajaj as it offers cheap spare parts and good mileage which turned off the mood.

I have seen some Fuzzys till date.Started liking them already!

But do you guys feel it could have done with a bit bigger engine? Maybe 200 or 250?

I somehow got this feeling that if the FZ1 comes by it will simply create a riot!

Thumbs up I done 1st service my fz16

i touch a speedometer in 100kmph today

I rode the bike for 1000 km in two week before my Yamaha FZ16 finally went in for its first service. The first service was a huge breather for me; in terms of the speed I can now ride my bike in. Before this, I maintained it around 50 kmph; now, I exceed it by at least 10 kmph. The manual says I have to limit the top speed below 65 kmph (until it runs 1000 km) for a good running-in of the engine.
I left it for servicing at oswal Motors, the same place I bought it. The service cost me Rs. 265 ( Engine Oil, Filter Oil, Bike Chane Spry) which was supposed to be free (apparently, only the labour charges are waived off). I got it back on the evening of the same day. The service was good; the bike felt smoother

The mileage just before I left it for service was around 40 kmpl. And after I got it back, I rode about a 100km; yet to calculate the mileage.
