it was being fitted for free to any FZ if asked to.... But believe me you dont wanna get it done...coz it looks so ugly and in reality it is of no use....its just a LITTLE broader than our original... Here's the surprising part its not actually a mudguard but a small piece of fibre moulded to fit to our EXISTING mudguard...they drill four holes on the mudguard and fit it....but the mud splashes anyway.... didnt get to take a pic coz my mobile doesnt have a Cam.... Wonder why Yamaha bothered for that at all.... Worthless...coz in the end it doesnt serve its own purpose... Quote:
if the bike you fall on....mainly the tank... And you can switch off the bike anyway..doesnt matter really...i usually use the kill switch during long waits for signal...it saves the hassle of ON and OFF the battery everytime.... Quote:
You should have gone with the Yamalube semi-synthetic....it serves the purpose really well...its rating is also better than what is recommended... Quote:
starter buddy....My bike stands for hours in the torrential pour and it gets a bit cold you know...Yet it Roars back to life with the slightest first touch to the self start |

Thanks for your reply to my query, what i meant to say was why is yamaha not offering it as a standard accessory on FZ as I had to shell out 500 bucks for my safety?? Anyways hope they address this issue soon for the new owners.........

Isn't this misleading the customer? Foreign manufacturers don't even provide essential accessories like leg guard and number plates (even saree guard), due to this, have the benefit of pricing the bike, just that little bit cheaper to be able to stand in the competition. But ultimately, you have to spend an additional 1-1.5k on these essential accessories up and over the OTR price.
Manufacturers like Bajaj provide all this stuff as standard. |

well. if you are riding, it should not be a problem. if so, get your clutch checked. If you are in a standstill (rear tyre not spinning) then of course changing gear is a prob.

I dont know where this discussion is going but AFAIK a manufacturer HAS to provide you the following accesories with the bike
RVMs Saree guard Front and rear Number Plates... (now lets not discuss the lights and the blinkers and all :P ) These are things required for the Bike to go through the 'rto' clearance.... I am not to sure if the same rules apply at all the state, but atleast it does in Maharashtra... And heck they come on the R1 too!!! Also the use of the crash guard or leg guard as we call it is a very debatable topic.... I have seen people being more hurt with the use of one as well I mean literally people being trapped due to the 'leg guard' and being dragged to ..... err nevermind...BTW Does the FZ come with a tilt sensor? I can seem to remember! Personally I used to have it on my RTR as I had once been saved by it when a biker couldnt control the bike in a turn and skid and hit the bike.... had the guard not been there then it would probably hit my legs!! but once it broke, i havent plonked a new on on it yet... so much for the weight reduction!
