Thanks Indeed Speedaholica and soulstation. I will definetely take care of these things..
1 more thing, with passage of time, Ive observed that some times Dipper doesnt work and on many of the occasions Low Beam doesnt work, I really wonder what may have caused that but this need to be fixed. And secondly, I have observed that when i try to accelerate on smaller gear ratios (small gears 2nd or 3rd), more often than not, i get the feeling that theres something that is touching the front Mudguard and cause a little noise and vibration. Can any1 tell me why this is occuring? I will anyways take this to the servicing guy!

I dont know at what RPM the engine's vibrations translate to the rest of the bike because I haven't ridden it, but I'm assuming you're reaching a particular rpm level where some loose part near the mudguard is vibrating against its surface causing it to make some noise and give a feeling something is touching the mudguard. It could also be the clip that holds the speedometer or disc brake cable in place at the front wheel. Hope this helps. |

better show it to the mech.
also do get the guys to look into the clutch Break (they call it as clutch pad i think) the new yam's do tend to have these issues with the C-Breaks. I doubt its got anything to do with the front fender at all. just for the heck of it, since our roads in our city ( im from Mumbai) are not the so called roads.. i use to have a lot of issues with the wheel bearings. mind you they do cost 125rs./ bearing. |

Could you also mention other expensive replacements that you've seen with your FZ? Are all the other replacements costlier when compared to other bikes? |

This is more particular at somewhat high RPMs. Lets see what mechanic has to say regarding this but this is actually restricting me in attaining good acceleration.

I'm feeling a bit ignorant here. Though i dont remember the cost of these for my bike, but are we talking about a set of bearings coming for 300 or one each for Rs 300?

the biggest thing that we (FZ) owner are dealing with:
if you do get a chance fit an Chain Guard. FZ does not come with it. since its greecy and our city's are super dusty, muddy [ Your most seen often on the road word here ] it attracts a lot of dust which then spreads to the wheel and gearbox thins causes it to loose the smoothness on the bike.. its not a dirt bike remember that. though i use it like a supermoto. just make sure to clean it when serviced. If you ride with a pillion more often than other. change your suspension to HARD. especially the MONOSHOCKS. though the ground clearance it quite good. Soft settings are not good to carry lot of weight and to get away without hitting your ass hard on a speed trap (in mumbai its more like a mountain). more tips coming later.. im still quite new to my FZ. |
