I think anything below 70 Kmph will be fine after run in for this baby... I mean, for that around 40 kmpl.

A near accident!
I was riding around 50kmph in a plain stretch of road alongside beach... a by some beautiful urge raised the throttle and the bike zoomed to 80. I was enjoying the smooth power and awsome pickup when suddenly a parked car turned on to road! [:O] Its 8 PM and nearly dark and that stupid didnt even switch on his light! I squeezed my brakes (more so on the front disc) and almost did a stoppie! God, I was lucky! I skidded to a complete halt in around (I dont know exactly) 1 or 2 metres... My heart is thumping and I shouted at the driver and got off the bike. The driver is a lady still talking on her mobile! And by hell she is smiling... she waved a sorry and pulled off -- still on mobile!! I have no words! Noted her car number, but dont know what to do with it.
Its my lucky day! Thank god I am driving my FZ16 and not my old HH Glamour which would have been a disaster. Grateful I chose FZ16 over apache rtr, grateful I was wearing a helmet...

Hey guys, i just got my FZ 16 today & the bike has been real good, of whatever little I rode today. The problems with the bike have already started. The problems are:

1. There is some kind of sound coming, I'm not sure as to where it's coming from.
2. The rear brake light switch is already loose, I mean the spring is dilly dallying.
3. The rear view mirrors are not evenly placed. I mean one is a little front & the other is a little behind.
Rest is all fine as of now.

CHEERS,
G D

hmm.. looks like this is ur first bike..
1. the sound is prolly from the front disc which is normal..
2.the brakelight spring is meant to be that way.. dont worry ,it wont fall off..
3.misaligned rear view mirrors is not a manufac. defect.. theyre fixed by the local dealer.. moreover u can realign them urself which i believe u already know?

Mr. Yamdoot, don't worry, this is not my FIRST BIKE. If you have to see my Bikes ridden list here it comes, Kinetic Honda, Shogun, R E Lightning 500, P 180 classic, which I just sold & picked up the FZ. Regarding the problems that I have mentioned I went to the showroom & had them fixed today in about 20 minutes. The point is that when the bike is new & the very first day it has these problems however small they may be, they are there. When you take delivery of a new Bike you don't expect these sort of problems do you ? I thought YAMAHA would be better as compared to the others in terms of QUALITY. That's why I went in for a YAMAHA, & yes your guess is correct, this is my first YAMAHA. I hope this covers all your doubts if any about the bike.

CHEERS,
G D

@GD76.. good to know u have ridden so many bikes in the past which would obviously give a DIY experience to the dumbest rider.. its only the kind of questions u asked did make me feel u were a newbee.. anyways, ride safe n chill !
P.S- did u say u sold the shogun to buy an FZ?
