IIRC a light brown is the correct colour, Black is bad. Not too sure. Please check it out online. Will update if I find any thing.

Now getting really paranoid, Check out the air filter too for any blockages.
Bloody hell. Getting senile. The colour is explained in the Manual itself. Check out page 6-7.

Since it's (b), it's definitely not a vacum lock problem.

It's probably a problem with the carburettor. Less likely but still possible is a problem with the ignition coil. Have your mechanic check them.

The starter motor could be faulty. Get it checked by the mechanic.

The carb was checked during my bike's servicing, and they have cleaned it thoroughly! Maybe its a faulty starter motor! Will be visiting Yamaha showroom tomorrow.

So you agree that the tech exists, furthermore you are aptly aware of it's presence. As to the sealants not being used widely in the sports, touring, off-roading, commuting or racing arena - I totally agree!. BUT, I guess if they can be used on commercial warehouse mobility equipment, which are made for very high lifting power and durability, it's worth trying on a commuter (when it's eventually offered by reputed manufacturers... of course). I think we can agree on that.

I was not aware that tyre sealants were used in a warehouse vehicle application. But note that the operating conditions for such vehicles is completely different from ordinary road usage in terms of speeds, loads, road conditions, impacts, lateral loads, temperatures, humidity/rain, etc. IMO, if a sealant technology that meets most if not all the demands of vehicle users existed, it would have already been available in the market.

But I do agree with you that if a proven product were available it would definitely be worth using.

Guys.. I have another confusion. Today I went to check out engine oils. One guy said 15W40 Petronas was INR 500, Motul was 890 odd. At another shop, Motul 15W50 was INR 450, and the shopkeeper said its great for FZ (I told him it was for an FZ) and now I am confused.

Why is there such a huge difference in the price of Motul oil? A change of grade results in doubling of the price? Please suggest which one I should go for.

the 450 one is semi syth, and the 890 one is fully synth. look closely at the packaging next time.
