see bajaj has to spice up their marketing campaign in order to keep their market share in the 150 cc coz tvs and yams are eating into its market share with fz's and rtr... but as far as r15's size is concerned i totally agree with you as in my opinion it is one of the most disproportionate bike in the industry... and as far as racing competition for fz goes it is not targeted for people who are into racing it is targeted for people who want to get ahead of the competition in a city traffic and not on track... so chill save some money and get a bigger bike...

iam planning to modify my bike... a bit.. like putting body of r15 but its color does not match with my lava red coloured bike.. so had to put gladiator engine gaurd... but i want it full covered... any suggestions.. and any good custom shop near chandigarh... to give it a good paint job... and wht kind of paint job do u advice... its looks sportier and not ugly. or overshow off

u can also get the black panels for fazer the tank panels cost 512 bucks each and the rear panel cost around 400 bucks....
if you want to get the red color may be you can get the svc to paint the r15 body's red....

Don't go for a full fairing like R15, our bikes are not liquid cooled ones, will makes the engine to become more hot...
As for paint jobs do any simple colour not high contrast ones...

first of all please stop typing in BOLD!
you dint buy the R15 because you are tall? unless its uncomfortable for you there shouldn't be any reason NOT to buy it!
if FZ had a engine as powerful as R15 either FZ will cost 1l+ or hardly anyone will go for R15...so then whats the point?

now pls dont plonk the R15 fairing onto the FZ!..fairings require a lot of engineering to be perfect...you are never going to have perfection by plonking fairings from other bikes.and it also looks dumb with the normal handle bar on a fully faired bike!

and MOST IMPORTANTLY it wouldn't allow your engine to cool down properly!

LOL Pulsar auto walas LOL. I know this is a rant, but do any of us really care about reality shows?? Much less judging a bike by reality shows...

Take this for a stat: Yamaha is the only 2W manf in India to make only bikes. (Unless you count Royal enfield). And yamaha has a heritage which no one else in India can match.

FZ is lacking prolly 1 or 1.5 HP of power. But there are other ways to get a bit more power. go through this thread for the details. My 2 ps is move over to FS oils when ever possible. I've definitely noticed improvement in my top end accel. Havent got an opportunity to test the top speed though...

And as for marketing I'll always believe Empty vessels make more noise (though to be fair pulsar also has a few good things).

So stop the ranting and start biking....

As others have suggested I wouldnt put fairing on a air cooled bike. I never had any issues with the bike's looks at any point of time. Hell, I would say at the launch of the FZ it was the looks that was its USP.

dude why do u want the R15 fairing ? the Fazer's fairing looks fantastic IMHO... By the way is it really uncomfortable for you on the R15 ? I'm 6ft and i found it okay once you get used to the racing stance ... i ride both rides extensively so can tell ...

Guys, I have a question! Here in Bangalore, I have seen FZs executing highly impossible moves cutting through traffic which I have not seen on any other bikes. Is it because FZ is mainly used by poser guys, or is the handing on FZ on a different level altogether?
