The New Ducati 1199 Panigale : Coming Soon

The wait is almost over, the Ducati 1199 Panigale on its way.
The new generation Superbike will be unveiled at the EICMA International Motorcycle Show in Milan 10-13 November.

The new model not only will deliver record performance, breathtaking design and technical innovation, it also breaks with our Superbike tradition by adding a name to its 1199cc engine capacity, making a significant and warm association to its historic roots in the Borgo Panigale (pronounced "Pan-ee-gah-lee") area of Bologna. In an Italian territory known as "Motor Valley" and where high performance and racing runs through the veins of its passionate people, we decided to underline our pride in being world ambassadors for the "Made in Italy" title by immortalizing our home town in the name of the best sportsbike ever built.

The wait to discover all the details will continue for just a few more weeks. Be ready!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back;
and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

The new machine has been exciting a lot of bikers the world over with its new high-revving V-Twin engine and all-new components with new tech-bits which will make this the fastest Ducati superbike ever to have made it to the public domain, with the bike recording over 370km/h at the Mugello tests! So while the official unveiling is just a few weeks away, for the time being you can drool over the teaser

Source-Zigwheels.
Am I reading it right? 370kph on the main straights at Mugello.

That beats the fastest record set by any MotoGP bike ever (Dani Pedrosa: 349.xx kph, same stretch), if I am not wrong?

Panigale is too fast to believe.

You are reading it right friend. And the previous was by Pedrosa on his Honda RC212V, back in 2008.

Okay, just googled before your post. It was 2009, Mugello. Just for info.

But 370kph on a street-bike. Scarcely believe it!

How much would a 'Busa or S1000RR do without the limiter? 320-325KPH, I guess?

Thanks for the correction friend! Don't know about Busa but S1000RR factory (used by Leon Haslam in WSBK) has reached a maximum of 324 KPH. 8 KPH less than the Biaggi's RSV4 factory...

So we can imagine about 370KPH...

^^ Not much of a WSBK follower but your post says it all. 324+8=332kph.

A machine capable of doing 370kph..What would be it like?

Yet to be seen, how BMW and other counterparts reply to this. 400kph may be?

Every sports with a two wheel and a motor in between and I follow it religiously

Moreover, BMW has ruled this category for quite a while and I don't think that they have some answers to the Duke as of yet. May be in next 2-3 years with 400 KPH
