Default New P200 and P180 variants out in Pune Pro Biking Showroom.

Moderator Message

The video has been removed for obvious purposes. Some senior officials, it seems have seen the video and certain people's jobs are in jeopardy. Hence, this step.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday eve, one of my friends just happend to go to the Pro Biking showroom on Bundgarden road to enquire about the ninja 250. But he was plesently surprised to see these new models of the p200 and p180 there. He was told that this new p200 had got 19ps now, and also has been factory fitted with 220 faring, bigger front forks and rear disc brakes. The second varient of the p200 had the same bikini faring as the existing bike but with the bigger 220 forks and rear disc brake. Thee p180 on the other hand has been given the look of the p200. Not much details about the p180's engine specs. But the ProB guy also told my friend that a new more powerful 220 is comming out shortly.

Video link has been deleted to protect the guy frm ProBiking.his supiriors frm bajaj have seen the video and have given him a warning.

My apologies to all the users who could not see it.

News Approved.

This is incredible, really! But, I wonder why is there no 'official' news on this. Nobody even has a clue about this! Are these on sale already? I hope this is official, though else this thread would be promptly locked.

But, on the other hand if this news IS true, then the new, upgraded P-200 would be THE machine to have! Rear discs, upgraded power, 220's front forks, clip-on handle bars, the goodies! Wow! But it is kind of unfair for the people who have got the P-220. I mean Bajaj is just recycling the parts of the P-220 to the P-200! Now, we'll be even more confused, and ofcourse the exclusivity factor will go down the drain even further (as is the case with Pulsars).

Now the 200 would look like the 220, and the 180 would be like the 200, and we will have YET another variant of the 200 without that 220 fairing! Pretty darn confusing..I am sure it would be confusing even for the PBK service centers!

P.S: From the video, it doesn't seem like a mod-job, seems pretty genuine. But, I wonder why Bajaj or anyone here doesn't have a clue about this!

P.P.S: When is the upgraded P-220 being expected? And did you happen to get any information about the looks, etc. of the upgraded 220?

Good work though! That spy video looks real good.

WOW! Good news. Good work, ritwik.

The 180 looking like the 200. The 200 looking like the 220. Power upped to 19 ps. But I would be more interested in the torque figures.

I am wondering how much more the new 200 will cost over the older 200.

@ritwik: Also, did you happen to find out whether this new 'upgraded' P-200 is FI or the carbed version?

thnx buddy for the quick approval....actually i was going to post this vid last night only but my friend could not upload it.

Ya the new p200 and p200 owners are going to be pissed seeing all these goddies on the new p200.

the new 220 is goin to have atlest 1 or 2 more bhp then the existing model...that's for sure as dis is wht the ProB guy said when he wa asked the question.there may be some cosmetic changes as well to differenciate it frm the 200.but man o man the 200 looks smashing in blue with the clipons and bigger forks.

@Ritwik: Yes, I can imagine how the new P-200 with the thicker forks and the rear disc would look! Terrific, really! I would anyday prefer to get the naked "upgraded" P-200 as compared to that faired 200!

But, yes, I do feel that Bajaj has cheated it's pre-existing owners of the P-200/ 220. This is not really a done thing. Anyhow, I hope the new upgraded P-220 looks somewhat different than the exisiting P-220; an increase of 1-2 horses would be the limit I guess for this mill!
