    Well Well Well...talk of the community huh...the new Pulsar

    Thought they are no Yamaha yet, but they do definitely turn out bikes with lots of features and upgrades...kudos Bajaj

    @ritwik: nice news...I guess Pune being the HQ for Bajaj is really beneficial for us. Now we have to see how the new 220 shapes up...one request though...please please please give a six speeder with reverse compatibility

        Well buddy, i agree with considering the new P200 as an example but if you see the past examples, Bajaj has told/speculated/confirmed to launch a handful of new bikes to the likes of Ninja and KTM - which are not launched till now and on the other hand if you see this new P200 and new P220 was a hoax call(which everyone had presumed to be)...!! So, its never sure from their side what is going to be launched or what not..

        Your friend asked about the price of this new P200..!!??

          @Ritwik: Did you by any chance had a detailed look at the digital instrument console? Is it the same one? The tacho (in the video) seems the same white one which is being provided in this generation of P-220/ P-220. However, I do hope that Bajaj adds a clock in that digi instrumentation. It would really be beneficial.

            What was seen could just be a factory R&D models using the existing parts. This is not the first time that companies bring out such stuff to gauge public response.

            Bajaj is working on much better stuff than this... at least for the pulsars they won't do XCD or CT100 type of upgrades.

            hmmm... "oil cooled" is a misleading marketing stuff from Bajaj. The engine oil is cooled via a radiator and that doesn't make it liquid cooled engine.

            Mentioning this only for technicalities sake... no flames pls.

              Yeah, I agree with what Praful says. Another way out to upping performance would be to increasing to power to weight ratio, give it better handling by way of stiffer suspension, a taller gearing, better compression et al. Man, BAJAJ has lots of things to do with the 220. Its just a question of which!!!!

              Hopefully this does not become a thread full of speculations and flaming and destroy the purpose of the thread, paving a way for MG to lock this!!!

                This is OT but, this thread is hotting up and even before we had this news, I had actually thought of a few things that I had noted down somewhere...

                Lets start off with how we need the new Pulsar 220

                1. How about shedding off some weight first...maybe a few kilos
                2. Lets move that seat a bit lower...maybe a few centimeters...while at it, lets synchro the handlebar and footpegs...
                3. How about a slightly stiffer frame and better suspension...especially at the rear?
                4. How about a sixth cog...and while at it, lets revise the ratios a bit so that we achieve supercruise in 6th.
                5. Lets move the exhaust plumbing and the stand in such a way that they dont hit the tarmac while cornering...

                Looking at it, the 220 is just a few kilos and centimeters away from perfection...

                Oh! about the engine and electronics....yeah..already getting better...still a long way from the Japanese though; but for an all Indian effort, thumbs up all the way

                      gudness gracious i literally screamed with joy at this news........you just cant see the huge smile and my jumping...!!!!!!i would prefer the P200 with fairing as i already owned one with a bikini fairing.....but i would still wait for the 220...i guess bajaj has another shocker up its sleeve...!!!boy o boy i cant wait....!!!!!

                      finally hamara bajaj has listened to us...!!!i really am getting goosebumps now about the new 220 and i think its not far away....and is this new 200 the march model(1 out of 6 new models)

                      i guess list may be
                      1)XCD
                      2)P180 with 200 looks
                      3)P200 with bikini fairing(rear disk et al)
                      4)P200 with 220 fairing
                      5)P220 new model
                      6)nija 250r

                      is this the list of 6 bikes???could be....

                          Ok. Sticking to topic here, though this thread has tremendous potential to veer OT.

                          The New 180 changes:

                          -Clip ons.
                          -Split seats.
                          -Tire looks 90/90 up front but 100/90 at the rear. Pune guys please confirm.
                          -The exhaust is still the old one, not the ones in the 200.220.
                          -It does not have the mini tank scoops like the 200.
                          -Bigger disc up front than before (same like the 200/220).
                          -And finally, its got rearsets with only toe shifter.
                          -O-ring chain.

                          @Aryan: freeze the video at 1:04. Looks like the same old (or new??) white dials.

                                One important query - Is that black Pulsar on the last part of the video the new upgraded P180? If it is, then how is it available at the Probiking showroom? I thought only the P-200/220 were the 'Probikes' from Bajaj! Or is it that Bajaj would be selling the upgraded 180 under the Probiking tag too?

                                @Pranay: Yes, I do see the white dial of the P-200 (upgraded). It is just like the present lot's instrumentation. What I was essentially saying was that Bajaj should now provide a nifty clock on that wonderful instrumentation!
