Nope its something I realized after my room mate bought a Apache150 in Nov'06.

Old xBhp had enough proof to substantiate my TVS Apache series fanboyisim!

Back to topic, I wonder what has been done to the 200 to pump out 19ps now? Kindda fishy though!

makes no such difference to the market as we know more p200 lookalike p200 will be out and thats all and bajaj will hike the price by 3-4 k max and this nothing but mere cosmetic changes ...looks like bajaj is going the HH way!

no offence to anyone ....this is my opinion!... if u have any prob with this point please ignore this post!

Don't forget its 19 ps at crank. And with the newer setup, there will be more power - transmission loss at the rear wheel. And its surely gained a couple or so kilos with rear disc setup. As I said before, I would be more interested in the torque figures.

May be just for launching purpose they would have kept it there..

I think 180 is getting a probiking tag.
Yes, seems like Bajaj is giving the P180 a 'Probike' tag. Wow! Host of hodge-podge going around.

I'm not happy at all... Bajaj has cheated me.. for being loyal to them from past 15 years.

If this comes out as true... Its bye bye bajaj... for me atleast.

As if you din't expect this to happen?

If you have been loyal, you also definitely would have noticed Bajaj and its sudden upgrades with the Pulsar series.

It would really be beneficial.
As i mentioned....dis video was shot by my friend....i wasnt there at the showroom and still hvnt seen these new models myself.i forgot to mention that now even the 200 has full DC electricals like the 220.

@praful....i think that baja must have tinkered around with the CDI to up the power.

@inder: agreed that that there has been news of 250cc bike being launched by bajaj, but it has not been official. Baring the ninja250r, till date bajaj has not made any comments on launching a successor to the 220.
About the price...i have no idea how much more it will cost to buy one of these 200s.

@aryan: Ya the black bike in the end of the vid is the 180.no ideas y it has been kept in ProB showroom.

@pranay-there might not be a big jump in the torque output....but i just hope that baja has improved the powerband on the 200. The power is concentrated too much in the mid range and its not linear like the 220.

I think it will be unfair for those who have the p200 and p220 right now.
as p200 will look like p220
life starts at 0 bhp and ends with xbhp

You forgot to mention one of the most important thing! It's wonderful, finally, the 200 would also have DC electricals which means constant illumination irrespective of the throttle position!

The upgraded P180 seems to have inherited everything from the present crop of P200 except for those tank scoops...I guess, it's going to be tagged a 'Probike'!

Somehow the tank scoops are not visible in the video. May be because it is a black colored 180. Anyhow, this is good news for the biking world as a whole, but not so good news for the current crop of owners of these probikes (P200 and P220).

Thanks for sharing this 'breaking news' Ritwik! You have rocked this forum. 8 pages worth of thread within a couple of hours or so. This doesn't happen too often!

I won't say I am the happiest person to see this news. Ofcourse, this is DAMN good stuff from Bajaj but what about us, P220 owners?!!! What we have done to get ignored. Why bajaj is not upgrading P220?? What difference now will there be when a new P200 & P220 will both be on street??? If some one paste 220's sticker on new 200 then absolutely no difference.

Bajaj guys listening???? I am really dissapointed. Didnt expect this from Bajaj for their Pro Biking range!!!

i absolutely understand wht u feel bro...but as u might know...the 200 was launched before the 220...so might be bajaj is just whetting everyone's apetite.just imagine wht it is going to do woth the 220.and as the 220 is an FI bike...it'l take longer to upgrade coz of the complexcity of that engine.
