hey ananth
You had a ZMA before right ? its a good tourer but yeah it fishtails in heavy winds the R15 is rock stable in that aspect. but yeah the ZMA is time tested so you dont have to worry too much ![]() R15 is good for tall people as well , FYI our dear Archie (Qutub Minar) is the same height as yours I think. He did the Horseley Hills trip without any pain ![]() btw i dont think you're tied down by the "mileage" factor since you have owned a ZMA ![]() dude the P200 would be a better bet than the avenger. oh yeah if you are not looking for a 110kmph+ tourer have a look at the suzuki gs150 lanza... it should a good tourer but i dunno if anyone is offering a test ride. p,s where the heck are you ?

^^ a point to be added here. a rev hungry engine better since at times you need the power at higher rpms when overtaking a vehicle that's equally fast as you on the highways.+ its freaking scary when the bike fishtails in heavy winds. ++ you have superb braking in the R15 to aid you.
ONE BIG FACTOR only thing is the R15 is a Fi bike , so if anything does go wrong with the electricals/electronics it can't be fixed locally ... the Zma has a carb (hence not electronically dependant + kickstarter :P ) so yeah you can STILL fix it by yourself even.

And the funniest part being... because of such a logic, we end up buying an older technology vehicle because it is "time tested" and when the carb actually gives way we are still stranded and cannot do anything about it! I am not saying "Go buy the R15" or "R15 is the best touring machine on the shelves". I am just saying that the logic that FI breaks down and a carburetor breakdown can be fixed is utter hogwash!

Go for TBTS, that's a real good tourer... U need is a bike to ride, not to carry it
and trust me, if TB has to fall, you can't stop it from falling... It'll fall no matter whether you are 60 kgs or 90 kgs

hehe .. ananth is my colleague man .. I was the one who put the 1 5 in his head when he had discounted it due to his height. @ananth: the more variables you get into it, the more confused you'll get. Stick to 2 bikes, test ride them and buy one .. simple .. you won't regret it. And always go for better technology as your chances of getting stranded will reduce exponentially. btw .. the lanza looks horrid .. saw it at the suzuki stall. Although it's another story for the gsx1300R and the intruder. .:. Archi
